**What do you like best about DBeaver?**

**What do you dislike about DBeaver?**

**What problems is DBeaver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Providing quick analysis of claims for our sales deliverables

  ### 2. An easy to use and flexible sql client

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jennifer H. | P, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 14, 2021

**What do you like best about DBeaver?**

I like that you can use pretty much any database with dbeaver! It's also relatively easy to use; I switched from another solution and was able to learn dbeaver very quickly and easily!

**What do you dislike about DBeaver?**

There are some tools that are a little hard to find, but they are tools that may not be commonly used. Aside form that, not much else.

**What problems is DBeaver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has allowed us to switch between databases seamlessly, and is a great, flexibly tool!

  ### 3. Great balance in terms of functionality, ease of use and resources

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Benjamín V. | Development Department Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 08, 2021

**What do you like best about DBeaver?**

It has several key features that I use in a DBMS. Things like: efficiently managing the tables visually, showing storage, the ease of connection configurations (separating them by production, stage, etc.)

**What do you dislike about DBeaver?**

It can be resource-heavy as it is on top of Java, and it lacks some other nifty features that software like HeidiSQL has.

**What problems is DBeaver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Managing all the databases from my current employment and also at a personal level, it's the DBMS I use to develop.

  ### 4. A easy to use software

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 08, 2022

**What do you like best about DBeaver?**

user friendly and universal database tool

**What do you dislike about DBeaver?**

It doesn't have a broader coverage like MySQL

**What problems is DBeaver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I easily connect to dbeaver to acces Amazon Redshift and query with the help of it.

  ### 5. Easy to use if you know the settings, impossible to cancel a query

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dani S. | Product Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 02, 2021

**What do you like best about DBeaver?**

open source, easy to download. has some additional local functionalities that make it a good addition to snowflake, if you're familiar with the settings you should be using, easy to set up.

**What do you dislike about DBeaver?**

I haven't found a good way to end a query that's taking too long to run or may have been run by mistake. You basically have to kill the whole program. Not the prettiest UI

**Recommendations to others considering DBeaver:**

use as add-on, not main sql interface

**What problems is DBeaver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Big data analysis and reporting. No additional benefits to any other sql UI.

  ### 6. DBeaver - powerful editor available at no cost

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Management Consulting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 18, 2022

**What do you like best about DBeaver?**

Powerful query functions built into to the software, for ex. write a query, right click and fetch the row count.
Record limits (paging) for queries rather than the table or view, by default, not even provided by Navicat PostgreSQL enterprise version.

**What do you dislike about DBeaver?**

Earlier, setting timezone via dbeaver.ini was a recommended solution, but the solution has stopped working now.
The Premium version is more expensive as compared to alternatives. Having access to charts at an affordable price would be preferable.

**What problems is DBeaver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am using DBeaver to learn data analytics. A ton of built-in functions help power through querying.
Writing a query and using the features such as row count for the query, exporting results from the query directly from the editor help speed up the learning process.

  ### 7. very convenient to log into existing DBs, easy, simple and straight forward.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer & Network Security | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 02, 2022

**What do you like best about DBeaver?**

I enjoy the view of the different tables and the columns filtration ability.
The persistence of DB credentials allows me to forget about login.

**What do you dislike about DBeaver?**

I'm not too fond of the change they recently made to the columns filtration, it appears to have an issue with selecting certain columns, which is really frustrating; the old way was excellent!!!

**Recommendations to others considering DBeaver:**

DBeaver allows a straightforward use and view of the database and saves SQL scripts.
I really recommend it to users that are beginners in the DB world. This allows easy entry.

**What problems is DBeaver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use DBeaver to query our DB directly because services like Metabase or other competitors were too slow in my eyes.
DBeaver allows me to be more productive.

  ### 8. Best Gui client for all Database platforms

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Adarsh R. | Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 31, 2021

**What do you like best about DBeaver?**

The most favourite feature is its cross platform support and it also the quick and easy query editor with support for multiple tabs to view/query the data also adding a new database to DBeaver is very easy and straight forward.

**What do you dislike about DBeaver?**

Their could've been native support for directly applying themes specially the dark mode rather than downloading themes and then applying them

**What problems is DBeaver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The application is available on different operating systems like Linux and windows and can be used for different database platforms Mysql, Postgres etc. You just to get to get familiar with the interface once that's all, hence no matter what project I'm switching to I don't have to worry about looking for the GUI client for the respective database stack.

  ### 9. The all in one solution to database solution

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Sports | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 19, 2021

**What do you like best about DBeaver?**

Easy to save the queries as scripts. Connecting to multiple types of DB such as MySQL, Postgres, etc. The auto-complete feature definitely speeds up the query time. The best tool for DB connection.

**What do you dislike about DBeaver?**

Nothing much to dislike about. This is one of the best tools I've ever used for DB connection. Maybe they could make a tablet option to allow easy connections from different devices.

**What problems is DBeaver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

DBeaver helps our company to have concurrent connections to multiple types of databases in a single application. We do not have to worry about using multiple tools to handle the database connections.

  ### 10. Excellent app to query any database

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dorian M. | Data Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 23, 2021

**What do you like best about DBeaver?**

Using this app I can connect to Hive, RedShift, Snow Flake, and other databases. I also can create local databases. The export plugin is wonderful, I like it too much, because it has a lot of different options to generate the final file.

I can do data ingestion

**What do you dislike about DBeaver?**

It has a lot of updates. Every week or two weeks I got a new version (update), which is fine but... Sometime I fill that the app is slow, but I am not sure if it is the app or the target database.

**Recommendations to others considering DBeaver:**

The community version works great. give it a chance

**What problems is DBeaver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am executing data analysis tasks, create and administrate database objects (DML), data ingestion, etc

  ### 11. Good Database Product

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 02, 2021

**What do you like best about DBeaver?**

It's an easy-to-use tool with good features and a simple design. I like the overall looks of the product and the ease of use it provides to the consumer. Not as clunky as a lot of other products.

**What do you dislike about DBeaver?**

i don't have any negatives; it works well for what we use it for; many products don't make it as simple as this product. I don't think you could make it any easier to use?

**What problems is DBeaver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For our company, it takes away the stress of trying to use a more complex product that has so many layers; instead, it gives you all the features you need without the hassle.

  ### 24. A Great Application that support Multiple Database and a cross-platform application.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** shashank k. | Associate Software Developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 02, 2020

**What do you like best about DBeaver?**

DBeaver is an user-friendly application to use, even if you are using it for the first time. From the very starting, when you enter the details to establish the connection with the database to search the the particular record in the existing table, you have to just type the column name with the desired value without re-writing the complete "SELECT QUERY" inside the search bar and you will get the results within milliseconds. Besides that it supports different flavors of DBSchema. You are just a clock away while calling stored procedures. Easy to edit column values, edit the data type of columns OR Add new columns in respective tables.

**What do you dislike about DBeaver?**

As per my opinion, there is not much to dislike this product except it takes it sweet time to launch the application. Secondly, due to inactivity while the user is busy on another task, the user is supposed to refresh OR establish a connection again with the database. If not the application gets hanged or get stuck. then the user had to re-launch the application.

**What problems is DBeaver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The problems that being resolved in DBeaver is like the user will always get the updated result while executing the query OR Calling the stored procedures, as it doesn't gives the result from cache like i have seen on other applications even when you have updated the record. Connecting to multiple Db instances under the same roof.

  ### 25. DBeaver is awesome software. It is cross-platform and supports multiple databases

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alberto D. | Web Developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 11, 2020

**What do you like best about DBeaver?**

DBeaver is software that I like for multiple reasons. Initially I like that it is a cross-platform software, so I can run it on different operating systems for my projects. I also like that it has two versions, a community version that is completely free and also an enterprise version, which has support for NoSQL databases.

**What do you dislike about DBeaver?**

I find the user interface to be a bit overwhelming, so novice users can easily be confident when running operations on their databases.

**Recommendations to others considering DBeaver:**

DBeaver is a very convenient option for users who handle relational and Non-SQL databases, since it will allow you to handle both projects simultaneously and on different operating systems if you wish.

**What problems is DBeaver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use DBeaver on a daily basis to run queries against MySQL and MongoDB databases. It is important for me to have software that allows me to handle both relational and non-SQL databases. In addition, it has a tool to optimize database tables, which is very convenient for very heavy databases.

  ### 26. Good GUI tool to work with a plethora of databases

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ginoy G. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2020

**What do you like best about DBeaver?**

The user interface is very intuitive and easy to get up and running even for someone who is completely new to the Dbeaver application. Supports opening multiple query script files side by side and even connected to multiple databases at the same time. The commit mode can be set to Auto or manual modes. Easy access buttons to disconnect or reconnect to a database. One can even configure the maximum result set size so that the database connection doesn't hang up if the result of a query was too big to process.

**What do you dislike about DBeaver?**

The community edition does not support certain databases such as Apache Cassandra and MongoDB which is a big bummer when considering DBeaver as a default database management and interaction tool. Toolbar icons are not intuitive of their purpose. For example, the icon to execute the current SQL script/ query is not easy to guess from the toolbar unless you hover on top of it when you see the tooltip. The graphic on the icon is somewhat misleading.

**Recommendations to others considering DBeaver:**

DBeaver is a good tool to get up and running with querying databases. There isn't much learning curve involved for someonce who is completely new to Dbeaver. Checkout if your database is supported in the free distribution of DBeaver.

**What problems is DBeaver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Dbeaver is a versatile database manager and querying utility tool that I use for connecting to a database, form queries, run the queries against the database and analyze the result of the query. Dbeaver provides very well defined and standard user interfaces to perform these functions with ease. Dbeaver is also used to query a database connected with and check for queries that are long-running The export option allows us to export the dataset of a query into a file.

  ### 27. DBeaver is a powerful tool for managing large databases

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Carlos R. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 22, 2020

**What do you like best about DBeaver?**

What I like most about DBeaver is that it works with the most used databases that are Oracle, MySQL, SQLite and PostgreSQL. Another feature that I like is that it is possible to directly install DBeaver in Eclipse through a plugin. I also like that it has a really powerful SQL editor and Git integration.

**What do you dislike about DBeaver?**

As a database administrator, I do not find any disadvantage in using DBeaver. I think that its free version is of great help to the community, since it has excellent import and export tools, as well as being software available for multiple platforms.

**Recommendations to others considering DBeaver:**

DBeaver is a tool with a free version available to the community. It is compatible with the databases most used by organizations. I recommend it.

**What problems is DBeaver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am using DBeaver to connect and manage multiple databases simultaneously from our website, so I consider that that is its biggest benefit. Previously, I had to connect separately to the different database managers of our organization's hosting. Also, this software provides an excellent visualization of the relationships between the tables.

  ### 28. Multiple DB in one app

UI is quite slow to response to user. Some warning is not clear

**Recommendations to others considering DBeaver:**

User can connect multiple db in 1 app. Generating quite good ER diagram. Even community edition is quite fit for simple development.

**What problems is DBeaver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use it for day work as main db-client. It can connect with multiple db is the main benefit

  ### 29. One of The Best Universal RDBS Tool

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

The best point is that it supports multiple databases.
Easy to configure for access in company data.
Its community version is free to use if you don't want to buy it.
Auto-saves the query if by mistake you close the tool.
It provides overall a good package for database.

**What do you dislike about DBeaver?**

Sometimes running a simple select query takes a longer time.
Auto complete should be improved.

**Recommendations to others considering DBeaver:**

if you are working on multiples databases technologies. this is for you.

**What problems is DBeaver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am solving different database solutions creating procedures, functions and all other SQL stuffs.

**Reviewed Date:** July 16, 2020

**What do you like best about DBeaver?**

- It is constantly being improved.
- Has syntax highlighting for SQL queries, which helps a lot.
- You can easily run SQL scripts with multiple SQL statements.
- Supports NoSQL databases
- Works on Windows, OSX and Linux.
- It is FREE to use.

**What do you dislike about DBeaver?**

I do not have anything against it, actually. At least nothing that could prevent me from using it. My experience with the application has been great (at least for what I need to do).

**Recommendations to others considering DBeaver:**

You should give DBeaver a try. It will not cost you anything and you will not regret it. It is constantly updated, runs fast and it is easy to use. It is free, but has features that you usually find in paid apps.

**What problems is DBeaver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In my case, I was using different free tools to be able to connect to different databases types, but since I use DBeaver, I can have all the database types in just one application, which saves a lot of time.

Also, I needed something that could work on Linux, since it is the OS I use, and since DBeaver is multiplatform (since it uses Java), it was a great find.

And the best of all, it is FREE.

  ### 32. A Great and Powerful Database Client

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chris A. | Customer Experience Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 06, 2020

**What do you like best about DBeaver?**

Very, very easy to navigate around DB tables, write/save/run queries, export to CSV, and lots of useful features like that.

**What do you dislike about DBeaver?**

Some of the query autofill options are not what I would want, which takes me a bit of extra time to enter and run the queries.

**What problems is DBeaver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's been critical while we set up our new customer database to troubleshoot and just dig through data. There are times when using DBeaver is more useful as a BI tool than Power BI.

  ### 33. Managing SQL for Free

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alonso C. | Developer, Apparel & Fashion, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 12, 2019

**What do you like best about DBeaver?**

It's free and it works! Simply as that, I have struggled for years try to find in vain an SQL manager that works with all my engines, and when I heard about DBeaver, I though, why not, at the end, the only that I would may lose is time. But I was really surprised when I founf out that I was able to use MySQL, PostgreSQL and SQLite at the same time, and with the auto-completion feature for all the mapped databases no matter the engine.

**What do you dislike about DBeaver?**

To be honest, I haven't found a deal breaker, of course it has bugs and could have something that you won't like for user, but always remember: IT'S FREE!!! And this unique trait by its quality is something that I can afford and live on my daily basis with it.

**Recommendations to others considering DBeaver:**

Give it a try! You have nothing to lose, it supports a lot of engines, it's free and it has a great community! Also, the software is updated really quickly and the update process is really easy. I encourage you to spend 30 minutes of your day knowing this product, you won't regret it!

**What problems is DBeaver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Basically the lack of money, I don't like to pay for something that I could try to look for free, and this is the case.

  ### 34. DBeaver sql client, many options for many databases

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** fai f. | Business Analyst / Senior Data Analyst / AWS Data Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 06, 2019

**What do you like best about DBeaver?**

DBeaver is great because it's constantly being improved, with new features, bug-fixes, and data connectors for the next-generation databases (either on-prem or cloud).

Alerts and notifications about updates are weekly, and can be applied without negative impact on your working scripts, saved connections, or resource consumption to the developer's machine.

If you consider the low cost of entry - it's the perfect starting place.

**What do you dislike about DBeaver?**

With so many options it can be overwhelming, but there's plenty of online resource to help.
This can come in the form of stackoverflow responses to questions, youtube videos with how to explanations to blogs that are returned via google searches.

**Recommendations to others considering DBeaver:**

I prefer this over SQL workbench for the number of default options available out of the box.

**What problems is DBeaver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Free software to connect to a vast number of databases, with minimal fuse.
This has meant there hasn't been any blockers to project progression or investigations on any new databases that haven't been connected to previously.

  ### 35. Best IDE for databases, great NOSQL support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 11, 2020

**What do you like best about DBeaver?**

Has community edition which has alot of features, NOSQL support is great but a while ago was was transformed only to business edition ( but you can search for dbeaver-ee-4.0.5-win32.win32.x86_64 only for windows when NOSQL was still free).

**What do you dislike about DBeaver?**

Little expensive for Enterprise edition, has issues with driver downloads from Maven some times, you need to google it to fix it.

**What problems is DBeaver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Interact with Oracle databases and Cassandra NOSQL databases

  ### 36. Reasonably fast, functional and simplistic tool for almost any database

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** James C. | Lead Software Developer, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 17, 2019

**What do you like best about DBeaver?**

- the software works comparably fast even with 10+ tabs open
- pretty syntax highlighting
- autocomplete lets the user type less and get your query composed much quicker
- the result set allows the user to view multiple result rows (horizontal) vs one row at a time (vertical, transposed), this is very suitable for quick visual search in large rows
- convenient row editing/deletion on the fly using the "save" button
- it is easy to run SQL scripts with multiple SQL statements
- DBeaver developer team releases frequent updates to the software

**What do you dislike about DBeaver?**

- editing stored procedures/functions/triggers does not work intuitively enough
- user management functionality needs a lot of improvement
- structure-related functionality is buggy
- there are a few settings set up inconveniently out of the box, such as number format and auto-timezone (it takes knowledge and Google search to disable them)

**Recommendations to others considering DBeaver:**

This is by far the only good desktop-based universal database client software for Linux. If you also do DB administration and stored routines on MySQL, I recommend *also* installing MySQL's native Workbench software, but still use DBeaver for everything else.

**What problems is DBeaver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

DBeaver gives me convenient access to the databases I use at work, and helps finish any DB-related tasks more quickly. For instance, if I need to debug faulty code or address a client issue, I have to go through quite a few similar steps to find what I need in the database, and this is where this software makes my life easier.

  ### 37. My complete review about DBeaver

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ismael M. | Analista de sistemas, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 09, 2019

**What do you like best about DBeaver?**

DBeaver is very fast for both simple and advanced queries. It supports functions without connection and does not require a complete server. It is easy to install and configure. It is also lightweight and usable for integrated applications. It is also very stable supports universal relational database languages

**What do you dislike about DBeaver?**

It basically works best with small databases and is used to handle HTTP requests for low traffic. Also, I think the stored procedure part is difficult because there is not much documentation about it.

**Recommendations to others considering DBeaver:**

DBeaver is fast and reliable. It has a large community of users and it is exceptionally easy to learn to use. In addition, there are numerous demonstration exercises to practice. I recommend it to SQL developers.

**What problems is DBeaver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

DBeaver gives us the ability to manage data through the storage and query process. In addition, the best management techniques are found in this software. Of course we also take advantage of some of its plugins like Git integration to directly upload our projects.

  ### 38. Very good program for database management

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Perla N. | Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 01, 2019

**What do you like best about DBeaver?**

`This tools is actually amazing for managing databases. I've been working with this till for almost a year now and I have to say that is above my expectations. I can easily access multiple databases and work in multiple tabs at the same time with a lot of features that others does not have.

**What do you dislike about DBeaver?**

The tools is not really good integrated with the new dark theme. Some times it gets some other parts in white. I would like to have more integration with nosql databases from the community version. I am working in a project using nosql databases and that is the only thing why I use another software along with dbeaver. There is a pay version but I will like to try the functionality first before paying for that tool. Sometimes is very slow to execute the queries and you do not know what it's happening because the program just hangs.

**Recommendations to others considering DBeaver:**

Set up the dark theme properly. There are a lot of options for dark theme but you can customize up to your needs.

**What problems is DBeaver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Working with multiple databases can be tough but with dbeaver we can work with a lot of instances at the same time and perform data import/export as well. We use it also for datamodeling with the tool that dbeaber include. This allow us to create simple datamodels to show to the final client what would be the design for any needs.

  ### 39. DBeaver has great compatibility and is very stable

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Juan F. | Ingeniero de sistemas, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 21, 2019

**What do you like best about DBeaver?**

The best thing about DBeaver is that it is compatible with several databases and can be used for the Microsoft SQL server or for PostgreSQL. It has excellent aspects for viewing and editing data, where classification and menus are included. It has an intuitive table layout and can generate DDL scripts.

**What do you dislike about DBeaver?**

DBeaver does not support multiple queries in an editor and does not support NoSQL databases, a great disadvantage.

**Recommendations to others considering DBeaver:**

DBeaver is quite intuitive to view and edit tables, allows to save SQL scripts, supports many types of market leading databases and supports online editing.

**What problems is DBeaver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our team uses DBeaver to create production implementation scripts, which were normally a headache in other suites for their development. DBeaver is very stable and has great compatibility.

  ### 40. Eye-friendly UI with poorly thought out essentials

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Daniela S. | Digital Project Manager, Internet, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 21, 2019

**What do you like best about DBeaver?**

it is really useful to be able to pull fields after coding what table you'll be using, streamlines query writing. connecting to drivers is also easy

**What do you dislike about DBeaver?**

Basically everything. It's impossible to abort a query (at least for apache hive) by any method other than crashing the program all-together. dbeaver for hive doesn't support a history log, so it's up to you to separately log all queries or you're out of luck. Takes forever to connect to drivers.

**Recommendations to others considering DBeaver:**

Honestly, just consider another software instead.

**What problems is DBeaver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Business insights using a mapreduce database, but i've largely switched to using teradata, which is older and simpler but suffices with strong basics.

  ### 41. Easy to use but low functionality

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Research | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 07, 2019

**What do you like best about DBeaver?**

Very easy to use and also easy to set up and install. The tool is self-explanatory and has a very good usability. It's very good for small projects.

**What do you dislike about DBeaver?**

Making multiple connections to different databases is painful and selecting a main database to use can create problems. However what's by far the worst about the tool is that it has no query compiler, meaning that if your query has an error at some point you will have to find it yourself and won't get any hint about where to find it.

**Recommendations to others considering DBeaver:**

They should definitely implement a compiler that shows the line of the error in the query.

**What problems is DBeaver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I was handling small projects and small databases with it. Therefore it was really useful and easy to install. I would not suggest using it in a long term.

  ### 42. The Best Free Database Tool

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kevin G. | Business Analyst & Project Manager, Information Technology and Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 02, 2019

**What do you like best about DBeaver?**

I like the approach they have been made to try to standardize all the SQL engines under the same workflow. For example, you can follow the same path or wizard to configure PostgreSQL than MySQL. The learning curve to use DBeaver is really small, and you will gain a lot with the intelligent provided. I tend to use more PostgreSQL at my job, but coming from PGAdming to DBeaver has been one of my best decisions in the last year, I've always struggled with the names of the tables and fields, since we work in a ERP the amount of tables is really insane, but with DBeaver I just star to type and the software does the rest.

**What do you dislike about DBeaver?**

I would like to have more export options, for instance, sometimes I have to export huge catalogs to csv, and when I open the file in excel, it formats the columns, I know that it is an Excel's issue, but it would be nice that they can give you an option to set the format of the columns.

**Recommendations to others considering DBeaver:**

If you are looking for a good and free option to change the way you query your database, this is it, don't look further beyond this, you will find most of the cool things that a paid service offers free.

**What problems is DBeaver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main solved issue is that I don´t know to recall any table or field name, the intelligent is doing it for me.

  ### 43. Great open-source Teradata Client

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 01, 2019

**What do you like best about DBeaver?**

I use other Teradata clients. I like the visualizations best. It definitely surpasses other clients. Being able to see how the tables connect in the Irwin diagram is priceless; really helps with development work.

**What do you dislike about DBeaver?**

It can sometimes be slow; gui layout is not very "Windows" standard; so for Windows users just be prepared to learn non standard layout

**Recommendations to others considering DBeaver:**

If you are needing to attach and do queries against a Teradata environment (probably all others too ... i.e. SQL, etc) I highly recommend DBeaver

**What problems is DBeaver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Diving into development work in a Teradata environment that is constantly a moving target.

  ### 44. Great free DB Navigator

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** James C. | Data Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 22, 2019

**What do you like best about DBeaver?**

I like that you can connect DBeaver to many different DBs unlike the Teradata nav or HeidiSQL. Also, way better than using a CLI

**What do you dislike about DBeaver?**

It can be slow and buggy at times when you're querying a bunch of data

**What problems is DBeaver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Having one program to easily access different DBs with different credentials

  ### 45. The icon's cuteness is gonna make you biased towards this software

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pavan C. | Software Engineer Intern, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 05, 2019

**What do you like best about DBeaver?**

I can explore, run queries, make connections, make tables, edit them, update them, alter them, add data to it, Correct data on it, summarize data, did I miss something? Oh yes, I don't need to code for any of the things mentioned

**What do you dislike about DBeaver?**

UI! Come on man, its the 21st century get a better UI and more meaningful icons, the only good icon is the logo. Almost makes me wanna pet a beaver.

**Recommendations to others considering DBeaver:**

Good tool, use it, it's free anyway. available on all platforms, and so is every other such software. All features are same mostly, but this one gives an added benefit of seamless connections to remote databases which is quite configurable

**What problems is DBeaver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

EDA on data from various huge databases

  ### 46. The AIO DB client that does it all (or most)

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Maximiliano P. | Technical Lead, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 29, 2019

**What do you like best about DBeaver?**

The ease of use of the product and the ability to integrate with almost every possible DB Engine, along with the UX and look 'n feel are great. Also it has great functionality like ER Diagramming and is a great tool for all round database interactions. Also the incremental fetch is a great functionality.
It will provide most JDBC drivers to connect to most DB engines and download automatically to use on a new connection.

**What do you dislike about DBeaver?**

Well, as every Java based client it gets a little slow from time to time and can crash if you do some heavy load tasks. Also, the uninstalling and upgrading might be a little tricky depending on each case.
It is stable, yet it might crash while working if your workload is too high. It might freeze also. Anyway, check your memory usage and workload. E.G. Runing a query that brings billions of rows might not be a good idea even though you have incremental fetch.

**Recommendations to others considering DBeaver:**

Know your JDBC and ODBC drivers. You need elevated permissions to install missing drivers as DBeaver will not provide the drivers for all DB Engines.

**What problems is DBeaver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Relational Warehouse modeling, transactional warehouse modeling, query and ER Diagramming for investigation. Also for some PL/SQL programming it is a great tool.
I am mostly modeling relational warehouses, creating semantic layers on top of physical modeling, developing stored procedures to use as part of ETL. Nowadays, it is my main database client tool.

  ### 47. it's a perfect project but somethimes...

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 08, 2019

**What do you like best about DBeaver?**

a lot of software integrations, easy and powerful

**What do you dislike about DBeaver?**

sometimes i execute a command on the script editor, seems to be executed correctly but not at all. i think it's a bug .

Mysql 5.7.14 connection

**What problems is DBeaver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

just one software to manage a lot of database

  ### 48. Best Front End tool for SQL

**What do you dislike about DBeaver?**

Nothing. All is good and much better than many out there in Market.

**Recommendations to others considering DBeaver:**

Easy to use tool. If you know how to write SQL statements then you would love to use this tool. Its freeware and easy to install and wrok with almost all Rational DBs.

**What problems is DBeaver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easy to write complex queries.

  ### 49. Community edition has all the features you need +more

Have yet to really encounter any dislikes or things that are lacking, especially for a free/community edition.

**What problems is DBeaver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Can query a variety of databases, has tons of built in features such as explain plans, index builders, etc,

  ### 50. Most convenient Sql tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

Very easy to use.
Look and feel is very similar to Eclipse IDE which is very convenient for developers.
Very light weight.
Always gives prompts before running any query without where clause.

**What do you dislike about DBeaver?**

Not much that I dislike about the product just one thing that it is not very widely used in organisations.

**What problems is DBeaver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Connecting PostGres database.
Very better than PGAdmin.
There are very few tools for PostGres.
Very light weight.
Very fast.
