Frequent updates to the product to keep it up to date and make it as stable as possible.
Easily usable interface with soothing eye color.
Super fast connectivity.
Integration with multiple other databases

**What do you dislike about DBeaver?**

While retrieving a table, the default view is data tables as multiple tabs.
Since engineers need to have many tables open at a time for nesting, the default view is irritating if a particular table needs to be found in that pile.
Though an option exists to open an SQL editor, the default should have been that.

**What problems is DBeaver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Organizing the application data,
Maintaining the application Data
and retrieving the application data without any trouble.
We are glad we chose DBeaver as our project's DB Management tool.

**Reviewed by:** Maximo I. | Lead Quality Assurance Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 21, 2022

**What do you like best about DBeaver?**

This tool is amazing if you use databases.
It let's me access tons of different databases from different vendors (MS-Sql, Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQLite, etc.), displays ER diagrams even when the DB doesn't have a schema, automatically adds aliases to tables, displays data on tables (selecting a predefined amount of records), shows the objects properties an a ton of other functions, I absolutely love it.

**What do you dislike about DBeaver?**

I still was unable to find any issues with the tool, yes, I would like to view all properties together, but it's just a gimmick.
Also one of the beauties, generating SQL actions for a table (like select, insert, update, etc) is only on the enterprise version

**Recommendations to others considering DBeaver:**

Seek no more and use DBeaver, you won't regret it.

**What problems is DBeaver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use different databases (SQL, PostgreSQL, SQLite) and I need a different tool for each, also, some of our DBs don't have a schema, so for new team members, getting to know the tables and their relationships is difficult, and also stuff like having to manually list all the fields you want on large tables takes time.
Having DEAVER makes my life easy in those areas and in any other related to databases.

**What do you like best about DBeaver?**

You get to view the data in a tabular format. This suits the best for relational databases. Moreover, you get the facility to view a single datapoint also. You can edit the data as if you are working on excel.

**What do you dislike about DBeaver?**

To be very honest, there is not much to complain about, except the fact that it is very very heavy on the machine. It may be troublesome for the users with low end machine, even for the Linux users.

**What do you like best about DBeaver?**

Dbeaver provides good query suggestions if you querying into the Database. Dbeaver also has multiple database connectivity options which I have never seen in any database IDE before.

**What do you dislike about DBeaver?**

Sometimes whenever the query is not responding then it hangs up and does not respond then we need to force close and restart it. Sometimes whenever the query is not responding then we need to reconnect the database to execute the query.

**What problems is DBeaver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm using dbeaver for multiple database connectivity, But this helps me to solve complex query problems, database function creation, data migration, data import/export etc.

  ### 28. Best UI for DB and ER Diagram

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** VIPIN Y. | Software Developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 09, 2022

**What do you like best about DBeaver?**

Good Ui for DB, tables, and ER Diagram. You can see the data. And query them in the DBeaver SQL editior. It has predictive feature which helps a lot to write queries.

**What do you dislike about DBeaver?**

Nothing, But I think it should have an automatic refresh option so that instant new entries in DB will start showing. And it does not show the expected error in query syntax.

**What problems is DBeaver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

DBeaver has a lot of features that will make your life easier. Data import/export and SQL Script generation is the best feature that is very helpful for me. And filters are very good .

I use this a lot, its easy to use. I work on multiple databases like oracle, mysql, prostgres and using dbeaver i can connect to all databases and work simultaneosly.

**What do you dislike about DBeaver?**

Connection gets timed out pretty quickly. Sometimes it's hard to tell which database you are connected to; they should have some color tabs.

**What problems is DBeaver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

saves ton of time, instead of opening a new IDE for each database, its a one-stop.

**What do you like best about DBeaver?**

Its User Interface everything is right in the place where required. It provides support for a large number of DBs including Teradata, snowflake, Mysql, Oracle, Postgres, and many more. Also, can very easily create drivers for other connections required as that of salesforce, Redis, etc. Can view metadata, DDLs, DMLs, constraints, and other things related to the DB table very clearly. Also, provides a structured view of your data. Its auto-completion of the keywords and formatting is also very helpful while writing and executing large scripts/queries.

**What do you dislike about DBeaver?**

Sometimes it does not provide you with the exact errors in your query. It gets disconnected from the internet very often may be due to security reasons.

Using it to connect with my company's DB servers and execute the queries. It also helps me understand the Structure of my DB, the Structure of my table, creating new users, writing functions and procedures, DDLs, metadata, and other constraints related info is easily available. **Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vipin S. | Software Developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**What do you like best about DBeaver?**

I can save different script files for the same DB instance, It helps me segregate all queries. In case if I have to get the DDL, Insert query, or any DDL and DML. It provides both the functionality. Moving data from one instance table to another instance table is very easy. Even updating a record is very easy just double click on the data and save it in the execution time and boom, no need to write an extra query.

**What do you dislike about DBeaver?**

Limited access for the community edition. Importing data from CSV or DDL/DML in the community edition is not available. Sometimes we got errors while doing some operation of moving data.

**What problems is DBeaver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am able to execute large queries with better optimization and segregations of the script files. Moving data from one instance table to another instance table. Importing data from CSV files.

  ### 37. One Engine to maintain all DB

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sumit K. | SDET, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2022

**What do you like best about DBeaver?**

The flexibility it gives to maintain all DB from one application. Also saving the script in the DB saves a lot of time on repetitive queries.
The free version give enough features to use.

**What do you dislike about DBeaver?**

UI/UX seems a bit outdated. Improvement in that aspect would be appreciated.

**What problems is DBeaver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are able to maintain multiple types of DB from one application. Removes the hassle of installing multiple apps.

  ### 38. Best GUI client for all Database Platforms

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sudheer V. | Software Test engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 03, 2022

**What do you like best about DBeaver?**

This tool is very easy and straightforward, and the best it has an easy query editor with support for multiple tabs to view and query the data, and also it is free to use.

**What do you dislike about DBeaver?**

I don't have any negatives to tell about this tool because it works well for what we use it for; Sometimes, query execution takes a long time to fetch the data. Also, It would be great if it had an export feature.

**What problems is DBeaver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can get easily connect to any database easily and view all types of data schemes. Cleaning data is more accessible—analyzing and querying across all the databases.

  ### 39. A fair good software for all databases UI usage

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 24, 2022

**What do you like best about DBeaver?**

It supports multiple databases at the same time without changing to other databases UI is very handy for any backend developer. Identifies the type of color code for development or testing or production environment as well.

**What do you dislike about DBeaver?**

Since DBeaver runs on Java Virtual Machine, it ends up eating a lot of RAM while the application is running. Autocomplete is very slow and not smart enough to pick the value by itself. Bit confused icon design for sometimes I am not sure where I am looking for what I needed.

**What problems is DBeaver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For querying as well as performing CRUD operations in the database side we need a UI that DBeaver solves where multiple databases can be connected from a single application UI. This makes it helpful for not looking for multiple application UI like SQL developer or Tode at the same time.

  ### 40. DBeaver for postgresql is easy to use

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Steve W. | Sr DevOps Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 28, 2021

**What do you like best about DBeaver?**

My favorite part of the DB client is the ability to do ssh tunneled connections. Because our databases are in private subnets of our VPC, they're not directly accessible from the Internet. The ssh tunneling is flawless.

**What do you dislike about DBeaver?**

It seems that the querying is non-standard, and you can't just type a standard SQL query when viewing a table. If you can do this, I haven't figured out how yet. Instead, it is a simplified query language that you use to query results from a table.

**Recommendations to others considering DBeaver:**

You can use DBeaver with multiple DB engines. I'm using it with Postgresql and Mysql databases, and its nice to have a single tool that works with both in a consistent way.

**What problems is DBeaver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The problem I'm solving is connecting to my databases when they are not connected to the Internet. The SSH tunneling through a bastion host is a feature that allows me to work with the databases using a GUI client instead of a command-line client.

  ### 41. Amazing tool with huge variety of supported databases

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chanakya B. | Senior Technical Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 07, 2022

**What do you like best about DBeaver?**

The best thing: I can have any number of databases(SQL, Postgres, SQLite, and much much more) running on the same client with no hassle. It avoids us installing different clients for different databases that saves your time and storage.

**What do you dislike about DBeaver?**

The dashboard provided by dbeaver is kind of "meh". It's somehow not user-friendly and one could have trouble setting up different dashboards. The session manager is also not up to the mark.

**What problems is DBeaver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Day-to-day i need to connect with diff databases - SQL, Postgres, SQLite. It's a one-stop solution that has helped me a lot and it's very lightweight to use.

There are quite some features I like in DBeaver:
1. Keywords are highlighted
2. Keywords are auto-populated
3. When you find for place your cursor on a word, all the words in the scripts having those characters are highlighted

**What do you dislike about DBeaver?**

I use SQL on a daily basis, and I'd like to use the LIMIT option.
There is not LIMIT in DBeaver, there is only FETCH TOP x ROWS ONLY instead.
LIMIT would have been more optimized

**Recommendations to others considering DBeaver:**

DBeaver is an awesome tool to query and analyze data from Databases. just like any other tool, it would take a while to get a hang of it. Once you're there, you'd love it

**What problems is DBeaver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

There are quite a few problems I solve as a Business Analyst using DBeaver.
1. Run queries to check the quality of data
2. Run Database tasks (This is an amazing option to get a huge amount of results from the Database)

  ### 44. Good tool for DB operations

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Amar G. | Developer II - Software Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 20, 2022

**What do you like best about DBeaver?**

Easy to have multiple DB connections. It has very good features which helps DB operations easy like we can get DDL, SELECT, INSERT, DELETE queries on click. And it has very good feature which helps data exporting with custom formatting.

**What do you dislike about DBeaver?**

It's queries execute internally with limits. There should be a way to search for column from search bar. It does not show properties of Sub partiotions on MySQL tables.

**What problems is DBeaver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps to do CRUD operations on various kinds of databases. It has so many features which normally other tools don't have like while exporting the data format can be customized easily.

As it is secure we need to connect again and again ,to view databse.,other than this everything is better in dbeaver ,this ia already a better product , improvement in a ii may be

**Recommendations to others considering DBeaver:**

Best Database Product Anyone can use easily.

Cleaning Data in databases is very easy with this software. Also, it has a tool that optimizes database tables, which is very convenient for cumbersome databases

  ### 49. A quick and easy to use tool for working with databases

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrew K. | Integration and Deployment Management, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 18, 2021

**What do you like best about DBeaver?**

I like how easy it was to get started with this application. Just moments from downloading this application, I was able to connect to my database and begin running queries against it.

**What do you dislike about DBeaver?**

Sometimes DBeaver will run queries behind the scenes against the DB, or some options will issue a query to the DB. The queries can be a problem because users don't always know what's happening and can see lag/delays on the database.

**Recommendations to others considering DBeaver:**

This tool is highly effective for database queries. If you have users who aren't the most technical, pointing them to this tool to run basic SQL queries is fantastic. However, be mindful that some options can lead to issues because DBeaver will issue queries based on some settings, and depending on what users do, it can lock up the database. It might be beneficial to have your database admins get familiar with the tool and then run a training session detailing what users should and should not do when using this tool.

**What problems is DBeaver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Running database queries is a large part of my day. Having a quick tool like this helps out a lot because it allows me to avoid reconnecting to the DB from the command line. I can also easily save queries, so they are available next time I need them.

  ### 50. Dbeaver is great for organizing and utilizing all your data

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Health, Wellness and Fitness | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 14, 2021

**What do you like best about DBeaver?**

I like how it is easy to maneuver between platforms. I like how it is easy to use and easy to find data. I like that it is free.

**What do you dislike about DBeaver?**

I don't particularly appreciate how it constantly disconnects to the internet, and I have to reconnect multiples a day. The export feature is complicated to use. It would be great to have an excel (not CSV) export feature and an easier way to copy data tables from dbeaver.

**What problems is DBeaver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm creating data tables by using the Postgres SQL in dbeaver. I'm able to easily find data from different data schemes and then combine them together to make the data tables that I need. It would also be great if it had an auto save feature to recover unsaved work.
