The branch trunk feature that replicates my code is the best way to go about reviewing it line by line. The best thing is integration with Jira and GIT repository. It is very fast and simple to create a review for commit from Jira, seamless. Notifications for reviews reaching the deadline is also great thing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Crucible?

Too many emails, and hard to control grouping. The version control is kind of slow render it takes a lot of time to sync from GitHub. Cannot copy from code reviews which is frustrating. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Crucible?

It clearly syncs with all other Atlassian products. You can customize groups and it syncs with Active Directory. It shows reviews in a clear and concise manner and commenting is very good. Asynchronous editing is a plus. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Crucible:

Good for fast moving Agile Code reviews. Lot of flexibility with respect to code tags or versions, and very quick in rendering the updated Java EE contents. Design decisions become evidently clear on page/JSP work from colleagues. Easy to pin point issues that may arrive early in the code. This makes the team get on same page quickly than analyzing differently on different screens.

The only thing to be mindful about is the filtering of the versions. Sometimes the selection takes a bit while to render the selected version, and the user will be under the impression that the filter is already applied and goes about ahead, which is kind of drawback. It is nice to be able to tag individual lines as being a defect or needing resolution. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Crucible has an ancient feeling UI. The notification tools are awful, you are either flooded with emails or don't get notified. Also how is there not Slack integration?

The workflow is clunky without accept/reject functionality and only complete, but no one seems to really understand what complete really means. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
