The most important benefit for me is that the estimate is organized in a manner that is properly broken down so the creating an SOV is simple. Because OST links directly to the original file path, changing the file name or folder location can break that connection and cause the project to appear blank. To avoid this, we recommend keeping your drawings in a stable folder structure once they’re linked in OST, or converting your plans to TIFF format before you start takeoff.
