The CoA template was configured to accommodate our requirements, such as the inclusion of all critical client and sample information and a tabular view of all analytes and their observed values, with each cell of the table designed to capture values based on specific test types. For this, the CloudLIMS team worked closely with us to fully align the CoA template with our expectations. With CloudLIMS being a user-customized LIMS the setup can be a bit daunting. Our past systems were setup by the companies, but this process took months and thousands of dollars. We have signed up for the free version of CloudLIMS. It is a LIMS platform that has quite a lot of functionalties that are already built out. We liked that here is a low cost starting option that can later be converted into a higher cost (one time pay per year) with full functionality asour lab grows. We did like the transparent feaures, graphic design and the connectability of the various modules such as samples, tests, worklfows, inventory and so on. It is all there, what we needed to do is customize them for oour laboratories workflow, storage, test recepies. The est up is relatively easy, however it takes time (just because we want o make sure we set al items properly for the lab.) Must I ran into is related to limits. How many inventory items, or process steps I could set up or what options I could choose. I which there would be a larger limit and more access to customization such as have access to enter weighing or drying or sinocation as part of a test procedure at set up. There are quite a few things that come to my mind: First and foremost, CloudLIMS has a neat and intuitive UI which makes it easy to use. Secondly, it’s highly configurable. At Chipsa Hospital, our clinical processes involve next-generation sequencing, optical genome mapping, proteomics, and digital pathology. Our workflow involves receiving samples from physicians, storing them prior to analysis, testing samples, and reporting test results to the physicians. Sometimes, we receive multiple samples collected from the same patient at different time points. We are also setting up a new genomics laboratory for sample collection and storage. We were looking for a LIMS that can mirror our existing and new workflows seamlessly and adapt to changes over time.

Selecting a LIMS vendor was a daunting task but my previous positive experience with CloudLIMS has tipped the scale in their favor.
