"Developer-Centric AUTH Platform"
What do you like best about Clerk.dev?

✅ What I Like (Love):

▪️Developer Experience
Clerk.dev is one of the most developer-oriented authentication systems available. The integration process is streamlined, with SDKs for major frameworks (React, Next.js, Remix, Gatsby, RedwoodJS, and more). The documentation is comprehensive and the dashboard is intuitive, making setup and management straightforward even for complex use cases.

▪️All Features Free in Development
Every feature is available for free when running in development mode. This means I can build, test, and iterate on authentication flows without worrying about hitting paywalls or feature restrictions during local development or staging.

▪️Modern Auth Features
Clerk.dev supports a wide range of authentication methods:

• Email/password, magic links, email codes

• Social logins (Google, GitHub, Facebook, etc.; up to 3 on the free tier)

• Web3 wallets (MetaMask, Coinbase)

• JWT templates and custom session tokens for flexible integrations

• Pre-built, fully customizable UI components (including Tailwind support)

• Account linking, bot/disposable email protection, and subaddress blocking.

▪️ Advanced Dev Tools
Features like user impersonation (on paid plans), bulk user updates, and robust API support facilitate debugging and user management. The ability to manage sessions, customize JWTs, and integrate with external services is well-implemented.

▪️Community and Ecosystem
The active Discord and community resources, as well as a growing ecosystem of integrations and open-source templates, help accelerate development and troubleshooting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Clerk.dev?

• Pricing at Scale
While the free tier is generous (10,000 monthly active users and 100 organizations), costs increase significantly at higher volumes or if advanced features are needed.

For example, after 10,000 MAUs, each additional user is $0.02/month, and certain features (like unlimited social logins, SMS codes, user impersonation, or custom roles) require moving to paid plans or add-ons.

For larger B2B SaaS applications, add-ons like advanced RBAC or enterprise SSO can push monthly costs much higher.

• Customizability Limitations
While UI components are customizable, achieving deep design integration sometimes requires additional work, especially for highly bespoke user experiences. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
