I love that the software clears up my RAM, which allows me to unfreeze some programs or at least speed through other processes. It's also really good at helping to clean up my drives, external and internal. I love that it stays on my top bar next to my clock, and I can easily access it, especially since my computer is giving me issues. While I am not the biggest fan of purchasing software, this was worth the price. **What do you dislike about CleanMyMac?** I don't particularly appreciate that when they update the program, the interface always looks inappropriate on the computer. For example, some items don't fit on my screen, and there's no way for me to zoom out or zoom in when clicking it from my bar. Essentially, that may be the only issue I have with the software. It works wonders for my MacBook Pro and my external hard drive, so it's hard for me to see what I don't like. **Recommendations to others considering CleanMyMac:** My best recommendation is actually about the activation. Make sure you store that activation code in a safe place because if you ever need to reinstall it, you're going to need an activation code to benefit from all of the beautiful features CleanMyMac X provides. I would also recommend regularly opening the interface and getting familiar with the different sections. Since my purchase, the company has updated the GUI several times, and if you're not familiar, you can get lost. Also, don't hesitate to click around and try to explore a few of the features. But be careful about confirming or processing certain activities because they're irreversible. **What problems is CleanMyMac solving and how is that benefiting you?** I am solving the problem of work overload or lag time. Because I do so much media editing and work with my chrome browser, my computer goes into overtime and overdrive. Clean my Mac X allows me to control how much load is put on my laptop. Frequently, I need programs that are running in the background, and they use a lot of RAM. This program helps me reduce the amount of excess RAM being used and therefore keeps me efficient with my work and turnaround time. Without this program, I would dare say that I would be spending more time getting less done because of constant glitches or freezing with my device. It was so bad at one point that I was deleting my trash daily, because my memory was completely full and I could not find what was taking up all of the storage. I finally found CleanMyMac, and I've since been a loyal customer for going on five years now. It quickly and easily found that my email was replicating calendar event caches at breakneck speed and I had the issue fixed within minutes. Now, it's always my go-to software for even a hint of a potential storage issue. **What do you dislike about CleanMyMac?** Nothing, really. The only complaint I would have is that you do not have an online web portal to log into, and that if you update to a new laptop and need to re-register your software and can't find the registration key, you have to go through this silly process on their website of filling out your email, which sends you an email where you have to click a link, and then you can get your reg key. Optimization option is supposed to seed up my Mac but unfortunately I see no difference. But occasionally there were reviews against all cleaners for Mac. So what I would recommend is to check whether or not you need this kind of software on your Mac. One of the selling points for this software is its ability to simply "wash away" files that you do not need anymore. However, if you are anything like me, then you would prefer to know what you are throwing away before you do it. The free version of this software (which is what I use) takes me to the exact location of the files and allows me to review it and decide if I would rather dispose of it or keep it. **What do you dislike about CleanMyMac?** I will say that the free version of the software has very limited functionality. I would think that there would be many people who do not want to subscribe to the paid version of this software, as they would rather free up their storage for free. I look at the full version of the software and am intrigued, but it just does not seem worth it to me. Sometimes it is frustrating to click on features only to be presented with the message that I must purchase the full version. **What problems is CleanMyMac solving and how is that benefiting you?** So far, I have cleared about 20GB of space on my 256GB Hard drive on my 2017 Macbook Pro. One of my biggest problems was the "Other" storage on my laptop. The storage utility would not tell me where the files were located, so I considered downloading software that could help me navigate the finder. CleanMyMax X was the most popular option, and for good reason. I ended up deleting files from apps that I had previously deleted off my computer as well as consolidated some of the files for my existing applications. It was satisfying to watch that "Other" storage gradually decrease! ### 24. Please add this feature! **Recommendations to others considering CleanMyMac:** To make sure your mac's apps are deleted completely, use CleanMyMac enjoy smooth .and spare space in your drive. **What problems is CleanMyMac solving and how is that benefiting you?** I use it mainly to uninstall apps and optimizing Mac using the recommended settings offered by default. I think you can tell the difference when you're not using it. Mac tends to get a bit slow, so I use it between 2 days to ensure everything is optimum. ### 27. The applications updater also fails quite a lot and only works about 40% of the time. **What problems is CleanMyMac solving and how is that benefiting you?** I use CleanMyMac X to manage my storage devices and clear spsace when necessary. I also use it to keep my computer safe and up to date and optimize it's performance. ### 32. When animating in After Effects, the system can often get bogged down, CleanMyMac helps eliviate these greivences. **What do you dislike about CleanMyMac?** It can often times be a resource hog, but the pros outweigh this con. **What problems is CleanMyMac solving and how is that benefiting you?** Having all system maintenance tools in one place, that would otherwise be hidden by MacOS is a huge help.
