## Civic Reviews
  ### 1. Civic is the modern auth stack I needed

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Madalina B. | Senior Marketing Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 08, 2025

**What do you like best about Civic?**

Civic is the first auth solution I’ve used that actually understands what modern devs neeed, especially if you're straddling Web2, Web3, and AI.

Setup was superfast,I was live in minutes using their SDK. The docs are clean, the UI is fully customizable, and it handles a range of login options out of the box (Google, email, GitHub, Discord, etc.). Even better, it has built-in embedded wallet support so I didn’t have to mess with setting up Web3 wallet flows separately. It’s also future-proof: supports passkeys (coming soon), works with LLM agent workflows, and runs on a fully managed stack, sooo no infra headaches.

**What do you dislike about Civic?**

the biggest downside is that it’s still pretty new and in active development ,features like passkey support are marked as “coming soon” and the ecosystem isn’t as mature as Auth0 or Firebase yet. But that’s kind of the trade-off for using something this forward-thinking.

**What problems is Civic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We’re building an AI-first tool with wallet-based access controls and Civic was the only solution that let us do traditional login, agent-based auth, and Web3 onboarding all in one stack.

Before Civic, we were trying to stitch together multiple providers to support basic OAuth, AI workflows, and wallet auth. Now, we just use Civic. One SDK, no devops, no crazy setup. It saved us a ton of time and actually made onboarding users better, less friction, more flexibility.

  ### 2. Auth deployed in minutes for web2 or web3 projects

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Savian B. | Growth , Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 05, 2025

**What do you like best about Civic?**

The auth problem is real.

It's not that difficult to build your own auth solution, but when you are a small team, or even a solo dev, you already have too many things to do and problems to solve. Why add another one? Plus, once you've built it, you have to maintain it. That's the part where things get complicated.

So, while I'm building my side project, I am going to use Civic's solution because it's fast -- only a few lines of code -- reliable, and above all else, secure (passwordless).

Civic takes care of auth, I'm taking care of building the product.

**What do you dislike about Civic?**

Civic Auth is still in beta (technically), so there are minor UX updates here and there. Nothing has broken or caused real disruption so far, but bugs may occasionally appear. We know the drill, and as long as nothing major happens to disrupt our flow, we are OK with it.

**What problems is Civic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Civic is solving the auth part for my side project. It benefits me because it allows me and my team to focus on what matters: building the product. We need to ship fast, collect feedback, iterate, and improve. So, we need to be laser-focused on the core activicties. It's very useful to know that some parts of the business can be taken care of by external service providers. Auth, payments, data, and so on.

  ### 3. Seameless integration with ReactJS

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Livia B. | Growth, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 01, 2025

**What do you like best about Civic?**

Up and running authentication + Civic dashboard configuration in 10 minutes.

**What do you dislike about Civic?**

There is no documentation on how Civic protects one's quota from being artificially increased by malevolent actors. This information is a must-have for a product such as this.

**What problems is Civic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My main challenge was needing a secure, scalable authentication solution that I could integrate quickly without hiring extra backend help. Civic solved this by giving me a plug-and-play auth layer that works out of the box.

  ### 4. A quality centered approach in KYC with a streamlined process with reusability

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**What do you dislike about Civic?**

nothing in particular - specific to have play ground for better poc

**What problems is Civic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

  ### 5. super accurate and versatile for different fields
