What do you dislike about ChurchStaq? Our experience with PushPay has been incredibly disappointing. Here are the main issues we’ve faced: Locked into 2-Year Commitments: The long-term contracts are restrictive and don’t offer the flexibility needed if your circumstances change or if you’re dissatisfied with the service. Outdated Technology: The platform feels outdated and hasn’t kept up with modern standards. This has been a significant hindrance to our operations. Incomplete Setup After 3 Years: Despite using PushPay for three years, we are still not fully set up. This is unacceptable and has caused numerous operational challenges. Terrible Customer Service: The customer service is awful. We have to rely on them for most changes, which is both time-consuming and frustrating. Not Suitable for Non-Church Organizations: If you’re not a church, definitely avoid PushPay. Even if you are a church, I would still advise against using them. Questionable Ethics: Our customer service representative claimed to be a pastor, but his ethical practices do not align with what one would expect from a pastor. Overall, I would not recommend PushPay to anyone. The combination of outdated technology, poor customer service, and restrictive contracts makes it a poor choice for any organization. CCB's Advanced and Saved Search Functions make it easy for church administrators to track demographic data for their congregations. For example, if members have filled out their profiles, you can run and save searches filtering them by age range, location (zip code), gender, marital status, and more. This simplifies targeted outreach (whether by email or snail mail), since you can export these contacts to CSV/Excel, pull them into a mail merge within CCB, or print their addresses onto standard mailing labels. Everything is manual: you cannot set up recurring emails or schedule mail merges within the software. CCB allowed my department to track absenteeism and check on missing/struggling congregants and enabled mass communication (email and traditional mail) for the church staff at all locations of a multisite church. I love that Church Community Builder helps me as a pastor connect with the people in our church. It provides me with contact information and an easy way to get in touch quickly. I also love the accompanying app that is part of Church Community Builder - the Lead App. It is incredbily helpful! Customer service has gone drastically downhill since Pushpay took it over, as has all of the updates. I used to get a 24 hour response to a question, and it is now taking weeks to get a response--and when there is one it is clear they haven't fully read and understood the question. At one point during an urgent need at vbs, I never did get a response. It is a dinosaur of a system--like we're trying to operate in DOS and make it look like Windows. When they do updates, they often remove functionality. Latest updates are done without advance notice. They used to have webinars to discuss updates, but those have stopped since Pushpay took over. Help articles seldom have the information I'm looking for, as they only cover the very basic, top-level issues. We have to purchase add-on api's to text, send stylish mail merges (via Mailchimp), and integrate to our web calendar. Mail merges only handle very basic style functions. Two-way texting is not an option--only "twexting" via a twitter account (so anything you send out is going to show up on your twitter account). The app is very expensive, only a template system, and customer service on it is horrible. I would not recommend CCB to anyone. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
