Chrome's Dev Tools are a tool I discovered by accident one day. It was the best accident of this year so far.
What I love most about the dev tools is:
- the ability to see the animation time on a graphic representation for timing
- easily create preset device dimensions and ratios
- very flexible way to develop on Windows and Mac platforms
- preview media queries extremely quickly
Chrome's dev tools are a godsend for those of us that used to install browser plugins for firefox back in the day that would barely give us the ability to inspect CSS let alone change it on the fly and be able to copy and paste it from the browser to our code editor. When it's great, it's great. When it's not, there's no fixing it.
I don't like that I have to have the developer tools window open to enable it. Maybe there is another way but a lot of the functionality seems to just be find on your own and learn on your own. Safari has a much nicer interface for the mobile dev tools and I wish Chrome had something like that. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
