Who is Cast AI pricing best suited for?

Cast AI's pricing is best suited for mid-market companies running Kubernetes workloads across AWS, GCP, or Azure, which represent the dominant reviewer segment on G2. Industries including financial services, computer software, retail, and marketing appear frequently among G2 reviewers, reflecting broad adoption wherever Kubernetes cost waste is a pressing concern. The free tier suits small businesses and early-stage teams seeking cost visibility before committing. Cast AI's Enterprise tier aligns with larger organizations needing multi-team governance, SSO, and dedicated support. G2 reviewers consistently note Cast AI delivers the most value for teams with variable, high-traffic workloads where automated rightsizing and spot instance management generate substantial, measurable savings.

What are the key differences between the free and paid versions of Cast AI?

Cast AI's free Kubernetes cost monitoring tier provides unlimited cluster monitoring, actionable cost recommendations, and a security report at no cost, making it a substantive standalone offering rather than a stripped-down trial. G2 reviewers specifically praise the free tier for delivering immediate cost visibility and savings insights before any financial commitment. Cast AI's Enterprise tier adds SSO, multi-team support, platinum 24/7 support, Slack Connect chat, and dedicated onboarding. A free trial is also available. The primary upgrade drivers noted by G2 reviewers are access to full automation features, advanced workload rightsizing, and enterprise-grade support for managing complex multi-cluster production environments.

Is Cast AI considered good value for its pricing?

Cast AI is widely regarded as strong value, with G2 reviewers consistently reporting cloud cost reductions of 40–60% within weeks of deployment. The free Kubernetes cost monitoring tier delivers genuine value with unlimited cluster analysis and actionable recommendations at no cost. Cast AI's paid Enterprise tier draws occasional criticism around pricing predictability, particularly from reviewers who note the percentage-of-savings model can feel like a 'savings tax' at scale, and a few reviewers flag it as expensive for small or static clusters. However, the overwhelming majority of G2 reviewers rate Cast AI highly, citing ROI that far exceeds subscription costs and significant DevOps time savings.

"Intuitive and Economical Management of Kubernetes"
5/5
What do you like best about Cast AI?

I love how CAST AI is quite intuitive, making the management of my company's Kubernetes easier and straightforward. The simplicity in the initial setup really impressed me, as it was very simple and facilitated a quick start. The cost reduction functionality through spot instances and the ability to quickly and easily hibernate non-productive clusters are features I consider extremely valuable. This not only optimizes my financial resources but also improves operational efficiency. Furthermore, the 10 out of 10 recommendation I would give to CAST AI reflects my complete satisfaction and confidence in the platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Cast AI?

Some type of self-healing before swapping instances could be improved. I would like there to be a check before shutting down a node to ensure that the applications on the target node are initialized correctly to avoid downtime. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
