Cara Shelter Plan Reviews & Product Details

Cara Shelters is GDPR-native shelter management software built specifically for Irish and EU animal rescue organisations. Unlike US or UK alternatives not designed for European data protection requirements, Cara gives volunteer-run shelters and SPCAs a single platform to manage the full adoption journey — from intake to transfer of ownership — without the compliance guesswork. Core features include animal life timelines, welfare incident reporting, grant reporting, foster management, TNR (trap-neuter-return) logging, equine-specific record fields, real-time messaging, e-signature adoption contracts, and integrated billing. Cara also powers a public adoption portal that aggregates adoptable animals across participating shelters, giving member organisations free visibility to adopters browsing nationally.
