This link shortener allows you to take control over your links and be sure where the customer is lead when he/she clicks on that link. Such features as broken link notifications, password-protected links, and a possibility to change the target URL have made me more confident about the links I share online. I know from the experience how frustrating it can be to click on a link that leads to an error page. Moreover, it's helpful if you want to create personalized campaigns (because of the smart redirect).
