Understanding the key drivers of exit choice and empowering owners and advisers to understand better their options and the key factors that drive exit choice has a significant economic impact. The baby boomer demographic is an international issue, widely sprouted as the “largest transfer of wealth in history.” A large part of that wealth is made up of privately held businesses, and successfully exiting can be a life-changing event for the owner/s. Our hope is that Capitaliz contributes to a far better understanding of exit strategies and their drivers and some of the critical opportunities to improve outcomes for business owners by accelerating business value. ## Capitaliz Reviews ### 1. Live updates through their Dynamic Revaluation tool allow for frequent motivation bumps for the business owner allowing for more rhythm in the exit plannning engagements. They also give you all the templates for each monthly meeting so you can properly document the meeting minutes and tasks accomplished which allow for a smoother transaction when they exit **What do you dislike about Capitaliz?** The price is the worst part but you pay for what you get **What problems is Capitaliz solving and how is that benefiting you?** Gaps the owner is not aware about that a potential buyer finds valuable. ### 2. Some of it is not intuitive. **What problems is Capitaliz solving and how is that benefiting you?** It helps me to guide my clients through the succession process more easily. ### 5. They love it because they can see how their business can, and does, increase in value over time. **What do you dislike about Capitaliz?** There aren't really any, but you do need to be computer savvy/literate and i know that is a challenge for some people **What problems is Capitaliz solving and how is that benefiting you?** It presents the current position of the company as the starting point in a beautiful report. The client can see that, and it also shows where improvements could be made and the value doing those changes could make. I make a good income telling the client HOW to make the changes ### 6. I don't actually know if any other software that would be a direct competitor to the software/service. **What do you dislike about Capitaliz?** I don't specifically dislike anything, although if I were being critical for the sake of reaching a minimum character limit, I would say that it would be good to manage group structures as a whole. There is a strong argument against doing this anyway, which I suspect is the reason you cannot. **What problems is Capitaliz solving and how is that benefiting you?** Provide quick and professional valuations for our business clients to better understand their business value for a variety of commercial purposes. ### 7. Key drivers are presented in a Scorecard format making complex financial details such as financial, credit risk, non-financial, exit readiness and beta factors easy to read and understand. More importantly, this program follows through with an easy step-by-step implementation plan to move your business to achieve it's highest multiple. My favourite is the Value Potential Report which clearly shows the financial reward of selling to a strategic buyer. **What do you dislike about Capitaliz?** There's nothing to dislike. I'm a details kind of person and I like to "see" rather than "hear" information. Prior to Capitaliz I was using four different programs to cover all the areas my clients were asking about. Not any more. **Recommendations to others considering Capitaliz:** Save yourself the time and money of testing "other" programs. I tested seven, bought four and now I have ONE. **What problems is Capitaliz solving and how is that benefiting you?** The benefit is that clients get to know their business from an "outside" perspective. What are buyers looking for? How do lenders view my financials? By taking a step back and being able to look at their business objectively they gain valuable insights on how to maximize their time and investment prior to selling. ### 8. I love how it lays out a perfect map for our clients with every step necessary to sell for maximum value. We have used Value Builder, the FAT system, and developed our own in-house software for thousands of dollars. They are all now in the trash bin as Capitaliz blows them all out of the water. Love it, love it, love it!! **What do you dislike about Capitaliz?** Not a lot to dislike. I know the Capitaliz team is working on direct integration with our client's Quickbooks accounts, which is the next feature release I am excited about. **What problems is Capitaliz solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are creating valuations, and value roadmaps for our clients with revenues between $5M and $50M. We are also using the report the software outputs to land new business. We sell the reports for $5,000, and it has been a nice revenue generator for us. The benefit that we were not expecting was that the Insight Report - the evaluation output - has increased our engagement closing rate by 50%. This software has been an absolute game-changer for our business. ### 11.
