it makes sure that certain updates are done in the right order and is able to move safely between various environments. It also helps reduce the chances of mistakes and helps keep everything organized. the work i might get to perform in the future will be more time efficient, reliable, and easier to follow through. What do you like best about CA Endevor?

CA Endevor stands out to me for its dependability. After exploiting it for a long period, definitely I can claim that it has kept me under tight software development life cycle control. It follows changes minutely, making certain that facilitates are not misplaced and all preceding versions are numbered and kept separate. This relief cannot be overemphasized. What do you dislike about CA Endevor?

None of the challenges I encountered with C.A. Endevor was as severe as this initial learning curve. It’s a rather intricate or complicated instrument that comes with considerable functionality. CA endevour has, actually become the essential part of my software development work process. It simplifies the process in its entire lifecycle form the first line of code to deployment, which ensure developers have good version control and track changes. What do you like best about CA Endevor?

I like CA Endevor simply because it can be counted on every time. It an old product that has been on the scene for years; therefore, its safe to be used for my business key historical applications. As well as that, it also provides reliable non-reverting functionality which is very important because it allows preserving the history of changes made to our codebase. What do you dislike about CA Endevor?

CA has Endevour feeling like something from bygone age. Interface usability is not appealing and needs one to undergo extensive training for new employees to adapt to it. What problems is CA Endevor solving and how is that benefiting you?

CA Endevor manages us to keep the director of legacy systems. It's functionality permits us to spectate movements, make apportionments, and exchange ideas on a coding development. , User interface should be more practical and the software should operate in connection with popular tools of user. "CA Endeavor : Best Version Control Tool for Legacy applications"

What do you like best about CA Endevor?

Ease of migrating elements from development stage to Test stage or Production stage.

Package can be easily created which consists of single or multiple elements and can be migrated easily across stages.

Code modules can be easily checked out and tool also holds the historical versions.

What do you dislike about CA Endevor?

Interface is pretty outdated as it is mainly used for Legacy applications. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is CA Endevor solving and how is that benefiting you?

Start from the development till deployment, all the activities can be managed via the tool. One can check out the code and verify if the code has been recently changed and by whom. Code versions history is maintained in the tool.

New source code can also be added on the tool and existing code modules can be easily edited or changed.

Staging is easy to perform with the tool.

The best thing about Endevor is maintaining a long list of versions (historical versions), that too with the stats available (Inserts / Deletes). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Building SCL is not something that new users can easily relate to, if the SCL can be built in a more easy way it would be nice. (For ex: they can come up with showing up choices for elements, element type, etc). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Very helpful to understand who and when made any element changes and easily can identify the what changes made as well deployed in one releases. We can keep trace all the changes for any elements like Cobol,JCL, PROCs, Sort cards etc. We can also compile our program changes as well in Endeavor when we stage it Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
