## About Boldo
Boldo is a next-generation Enterprise Architecture (EA) platform designed to help mid-sized and large organisations map, understand, and transform their business, data, and IT landscape. Built for both architects and operational teams, Boldo enables companies to create a single source of truth across applications, business capabilities, processes, data flows, and infrastructure. Unlike traditional EA tools, Boldo combines a flexible metamodel, ultra-intuitive user experience, and powerful graph technology to make enterprise architecture actionable, collaborative, and continuously maintained. Boldo leverages AI to accelerate mapping and analysis. Teams can ingest heterogeneous sources (documents, diagrams, spreadsheets, interviews), automatically generate assets, relationships, and diagrams, and use a natural language copilot to explore architectures, perform impact analysis, and simplify complex systems. This drastically reduces manual effort while improving data quality and time-to-value. The platform allows users to model and visualise their ecosystem through interactive diagrams, capability maps, process views, and real-time impact analysis, all synchronised with the underlying data. Its graph engine enables advanced dependency mapping and instant exploration of relationships between systems, making it easier to assess risks, manage transformations, and support strategic decision-making. Boldo is particularly well-suited for organisations undergoing digital transformation, ERP modernisation, cloud migration, or compliance initiatives (e.g. ISO 27001, NIS2, DORA). It helps teams align business and IT, prioritise initiatives using a pragmatic Pareto approach, and maintain a living architecture that evolves with the organisation. The platform includes OpenAPI-based integrations, enabling seamless connectivity with CMDBs, ITSM tools, and other enterprise systems. Its modern SaaS architecture, hosted on sovereign cloud infrastructure, ensures scalability, security, and full control over data residency. Boldo stands out with its focus on ultra-intuitivity and user adoption. Its no-code configuration, collaborative features, and high-quality visual outputs (board-ready diagrams, dashboards, and maps) drive engagement across all stakeholders : from enterprise architects to CIOs and business leaders. With fast onboarding, integrated support, and a growing ecosystem of consulting partners, Boldo enables organisations to move from static documentation to AI-powered, dynamic, and value-driven enterprise architecture.

## Boldo Reviews
  ### 1. A Smart, Ambitious Team You Can Rely On for Complex Transformations

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Louis C. | Consultant en Architecture d'Entreprise, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 18, 2026

**What do you like best about Boldo?**

Very smart team with the right ambition and understanding of how the entreprise architecture is evolving around the world. Really nice to share with them and rely on their incredible to support the complex upcoming transformation companies are about to meet.

**What do you dislike about Boldo?**

Nothing they’re great, of course they still have so much to bring with their ambitious roadmap but I’m pretty confident that they are going to be a non negotiable editor to consider on their business target

**What problems is Boldo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Dependancies around your IS from the most strategic objectives you defined for your company strategy to the tech & app landscape to ensure that you steer your transformation and all related projects with the right understanding of your assets and take the best decisions for your companies in order to achieve your vision and your strategy.

  ### 2. Boldo: a promising and innovative enterprise architecture tool.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sébastien W. | Directeur Conseil Expert, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 31, 2026

**What do you like best about Boldo?**

Boldo is an easy-to-access tool with a neat interface. I particularly appreciate the adaptable meta-model and the import assistant that facilitates the setup of mapping. The product roadmap is very interesting and the support is responsive. In summary, a very promising tool in the enterprise architecture tools market.

**What do you dislike about Boldo?**

No major drawback in Boldo but I see some limitations in the current version:
- on the planning of the information system's evolution (TO BE).
- the creation of diagrams can be complex for displaying linked objects.
- No use of LLM as of 2026. (to come in the roadmap)

**What problems is Boldo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Boldo simply allows for a global view of the IS and to zoom in on certain aspects such as the transformation associated with new projects, or the obsolescence of certain components. This type of approach is particularly complicated without suitable tools. It allows the IT department and business teams to collaborate on a unified vision.

  ### 3. Boldo: a promising and pragmatic EA tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rémi D. | Joueur professionnel, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 18, 2026

**What do you like best about Boldo?**

Boldo stands out thanks to clear competitive advantages: an attractive price point and data sovereignty, which are key drivers. The tool is also easy to pick up, with a strong focus on real client use cases.

**What do you dislike about Boldo?**

Nothing really stands out as a strong pain point.
The few areas for improvement I would mention are already well identified by the Boldo team in their product roadmap, mainly the absence of native LLM capabilities by early 2026 (planned in the roadmap).

**What problems is Boldo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Boldo is a very practical and ergonomic tool that helps build a clear high level view of an information system.
It makes it easy to map all the components of the IS (applications, data flows, capabilities, business processes) and to create dedicated views, dashboards and diagrams on top of this repository.

This is a real enabler for IS decision making: rationalization, obsolescence management, and overall governance of the enterprise architecture.

  ### 4. Simple to Use, Yet Comprehensive for Enterprise Architecture Modeling

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Xavier R. | Executive VP - Directeur Général adjoint, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 08, 2026

**What do you like best about Boldo?**

Simple to use, yet very comprehensive for modeling any enterprise architecture. Clear roadmap.

**What do you dislike about Boldo?**

It doesn't yet have all the connectors, but they are on the roadmap and frankly, not all of them are really necessary.

**What problems is Boldo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Boldo easily automates the modeling and creation of diagrams that show the links between business processes, applications, data, and infrastructure.
You can generate an instant impact analysis:
- Which processes and data flows will stop?
- Which applications will no longer receive data?
- Which departments will be impacted?
- ...
It facilitates the detection of duplicates and redundancies: visualize applications with the same functionalities. It provides a clear view of data lifecycle management and the identification of obsolete technologies to manage risks.
The tool allows also to draw a direct line between a strategic objective and the technical projects needed to achieve it. This enables the creation of clear roadmaps to visualize the current state (As-Is) and the target future state (To-Be).

  ### 5. Boldo: a clear IT mapping to better manage the impacts

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Emmanuel M. | Architecte logiciel en charge du décommissionnement des applications AWS, Banking, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Boldo?**

I particularly appreciate the comprehensive and unified vision that Boldo offers of the information system. Highly configurable, the tool allows for precise mapping of all the components of the IS and quickly creates clear and readable diagrams (flowcharts, processes, architectures). Its centralized approach makes it a true IS repository, easy to share and utilize.

**What do you dislike about Boldo?**

Some additional features could further enhance the tool. Nevertheless, the Boldo team stands out for its dynamism, its attentiveness to users, and a clear roadmap, already incorporating these upcoming developments, which inspires great confidence in the future maturity of the product.

**What problems is Boldo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Boldo addresses the need to manage the complexity of the IS by centralizing information and facilitating impact analyses. It allows for effectively anticipating the consequences of developments or changes, contributing to securing IS transformations and improving decision-making. The SaaS offering additionally provides the benefit of continuous product updates, without maintenance constraints.

  ### 6. An Engaged Interface and Positive Evolution

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Axel d.

**Reviewed Date:** April 03, 2026

**What do you like best about Boldo?**

I appreciate the beautiful interface of Boldo and the simplicity with which I can make it my own. The great readability is an asset, even for clients or non-experts. I like the intelligent structure of object management and the constant and positive scalability. This simplifies the onboarding of clients and colleagues onto the platform and allows me to centralize and manipulate the levels of detail according to my needs. The management of objects is very flexible, which allows me to adapt to all client or project contexts with the right level of granularity. Moreover, the initial configuration of Boldo was very simple.

**What do you dislike about Boldo?**

Nothing critical, but the more we do with it, the more we want to go further to capitalize on the work accomplished. A feature that is coming and expected is a better formalization of data processing flows, step by step. It's very micro, but sometimes very useful. Add sequencing / temporality logic eventually, and graphical / visual elements on the diagrams to enrich the illustration.

**What problems is Boldo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Boldo facilitates the centralization and structuring of knowledge in data architecture, data governance issues, and data model formalization. It simplifies the sharing of elements with different levels of precision, making onboarding easier and avoiding the use of other tools to share a global vision.

  ### 7. An EAM tool that is easy to use and effective in day-to-day operations for users of all skill levels

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Christophe L. | Architect, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Boldo?**

After a year of intensive use, Boldo has become the go-to tool for managing enterprise architecture. The solution has evolved significantly since last year, and its collaborative features enable users to examine every detail of IT assets and make the right decisions. Business teams use it to understand the key aspects of the IT infrastructure (applications, data flows, responsibilities, ongoing projects, etc.) and define their requirements. Technical teams devise ways to meet these needs using IT components (servers, interfaces, data, security, etc.).
An effective tool that has become essential as a portal for IT architecture!

**What do you dislike about Boldo?**

The solution already meets most requirements and is still evolving rapidly. There is still room for improvement in terms of managing team comments, the types of data visualisation available, inventory analysis, and the management of architectural transitions (as-is/to-be).

**What problems is Boldo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Boldo offers a thorough catalog of a company's IT assets, making it possible to assess each asset individually while also establishing connections among them. By continuously linking these assets, Boldo provides a detailed and transparent perspective of the entire IT environment. This comprehensive view is valuable for supporting well-informed decisions regarding future projects and initiatives.

  ### 8. User-Centric EAM Solution

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consulting | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 30, 2026

**What do you like best about Boldo?**

This EAM tool offers a solid foundation for flexibility, with an adaptable meta-model, user-friendly interface, and a relatively rapid learning curve. Adding information is straightforward using the table view and diagrams, which provides a clear overview of the data structure. While some import features may not be comprehensive, they meet most business needs.

The support team is responsive and helpful, providing quick answers directly through the web app. The tool performs well overall.

One area for improvement is the lack of API/MCP integration, although this is being addressed in the roadmap. Additionally, the pricing model is straightforward and doesn't require extensive configuration, which can simplify inventory management.

**What do you dislike about Boldo?**

while this young solution has potential, it's still a developing product with room for improvement. A major area of improvement is stronger reporting capabilities, which would elevate this tool as a powerful storytelling platform.

**What problems is Boldo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This tool helps solve problems by bringing together disparate architecture data points, making it easier to see connections across different dimensions. As the inventory evolves, we can refine our understanding and share valuable insights with our IT, engineering, and operational teams, without having to dig through multiple sources of information.

  ### 9. Easy, Fast Enterprise Architecture Views Anyone Can Understand

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consulting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 06, 2026

**What do you like best about Boldo?**

What I like best about Boldo is how easy it is to model and visualize enterprise architecture views in a way that can be shared with non‑technical decision‑makers. The interface is simple, the learning curve is very short, and teams can start creating clear views in just a few days. Compared to more complex EA tools, this makes it much faster to get value without heavy training. I also appreciate being able to feed the repository from CSV files and to configure the meta‑model quickly, which makes it easy to adapt to different projects and contexts.

**What do you dislike about Boldo?**

Boldo is still evolving, so some advanced features and integrations are not fully mature yet, and there are occasional small bugs or missing options. It could support more complex automation scenarios and deeper integrations with external tools, especially for teams with more advanced needs. However, the team is reactive and regularly releases updates, so the product keeps improving over time.

**What problems is Boldo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Boldo helps make enterprise architecture practical and understandable for both technical teams and business stakeholders. It allows us to document systems, applications, and business assets in a structured way and quickly generate stakeholder‑ready views. This is particularly useful in cross‑team initiatives where clarity and shared understanding are critical. The import from CSV speeds up the initial setup, and the flexible meta‑model makes it easy to adapt the tool to different contexts without heavy technical effort. Combined with its pricing and short learning curve, this makes Boldo easy to deploy across multiple projects.

  ### 10. Boldo: easy to handle, flexible metamodel, and very clear mappings

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marc B. | Architecte d'Entreprise, Banking, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 31, 2026

**What do you like best about Boldo?**

Boldo is easy to handle while offering a very flexible metamodel. The mappings are clear, visual, and easily understandable, even by non-technical profiles. Boldo centralizes the knowledge of the IS and offers a reliable cross-sectional view (applications, data, flows). This helps to frame projects, facilitate governance, and improve decision-making in the architecture committee.

**What do you dislike about Boldo?**

I have not encountered any limitation. The selection of properties displayed on the diagrams would be a plus, but it remains a detail.

**What problems is Boldo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Boldo effectively addresses the need to centralize and structure the knowledge of the information system: applications, data, flows, dependencies, and business capabilities.
