Absolutely amazing experience building a website. **What do you dislike about Blocs?** Built in CMS platform or web version would be nice, but even in its current state, it is absolutely incredible piece of software! **What problems is Blocs solving and how is that benefiting you?** Blocs is perfect tool for me to create any type of landing page or even a full-fledged website, which doesn't require the use of Content Management System (complex blog, etc). ### 2. Very comprehensive capabilities included, it's not a decoy-offer at all. - 100% offline - Perfectly responsive, renders possible very advanced, modern, full-screen designing. - 100% visual - but still very much capable of accepting all the custom code I want to. - Easy to use, but only after you learn how. It could be made much easier to use by making it behave like Programs like Power Point or InDesign, but then, for those who use Blocs seriously, it would be a disadvantage because the system with the classes is actually a HUGE advantage, it enable us to change the styling of objects across the entire site in one single step. - Good support, the company even reacts to requests to add features. Might take a few month though. - Integration of Shops possbile, and has more and more AI features included, but I haven't tried them yet. **What do you dislike about Blocs?** - lack of possibility to create multi-language sites. Work-around needed to do this. - lack of possibility to create complex forms - For medium- to larger projects: You basically need to export the project to upload it to the web. There is a "Publish" feature, but it is VERY outdated and does not work with the encryption requirement of today's servers. **What problems is Blocs solving and how is that benefiting you?** Since many years now, it take two attempts to open any saved project. And if you save the project after the failed (in general half-finished and freezed) opening-process, the file gets corrupted. So beware! Luckily, on the second attempt it always opens correctly. ### 3. If you are already familiar with the basics of design and html/css it's easy to implement and running quickly. In addition to the core product there are many themes and extendability options. Regarding custoemr support the help documentation and extensive videos and utorials (free and paid) are excellent. **What do you dislike about Blocs?** For a first time user are some really odd things to encounter and, according to the owner himself, "you just have to get used to". For example the font type set for a project still shows as Helvetica even after a custom class specifying another has been created. And there is another 'bug' where an image needs to be dragged into position because simply clicking to select it leads to it filling the background of the container, not the div in question. **What problems is Blocs solving and how is that benefiting you?** I am working to expand my exisiting skill-set as designer. Blocs is enabling me to learn more advanced concepts by being able to experiment in a strong WYSIWYG environment. ### 5. Blocs was the perfect app for someone like myself, who is a print designer, make the transition into web design so smoothly. In fact I won a web-design award in 2018 from GDUSA for one of my sites: www.matrix-z.com **What do you dislike about Blocs?** The only wish I have for the app would be to have the ability to open HTML sites and edit them. Outside of that, there is little to dislike about the app. **Recommendations to others considering Blocs:** I purchased and tried out several page/site builders before settling on Blocs, including RapidWeaver, BootsrapStudio, and Sparkle. None of them are as intuitive or as responsive for creating the prefect web-page. **What problems is Blocs solving and how is that benefiting you?** For me, the problem was having to learn HTML code, which I struggle with. I am dangerous enough to find fixes in the code, but not proficient enough to code from scratch... I need guidance and with Blocs, I don'y need to know code at all, but I can see it to edit the CSS if I needed to. The overall benefit I have used Blocs for is building landing pages and websites that match my design comps to the client in a fast and efficient manner and know that it will work. ### 16. Of course I have constraints with what I can do because I'm not a great coder, but (another pro) is that they provide add-ons for features I wouldn't be able to create. **What problems is Blocs solving and how is that benefiting you?** I'm making my own portfolio site with Blocs because it's easy to use, simple enough for someone for a basic knowledge of web coding, and customizable in so many ways.
