What do you like best about Blockly?

What problems is Blockly solving and how is that benefiting you?

The benefits are numerous ,I'm not a programmer but with blockly i developed some programming skills, BLOCKLY really unblocked my desire to learn and code program. Instrumentation and robotics are my field of interests and coding is necessary with blockly I am able to do more .I recommended this to my friends too ,they were also having the same difficulty for coding ,Now they are much more confident in coding Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Writing Codes Made Easy No Matter Your Experience "

What do you like best about Blockly?

Very easy to use, regardless of experience. Very user friendly. Efficient even for those who may not have much experience writing codes. Can be used on almost any type of device - used primarily on Mac and Apple products so cannot give any advice on how it runs on Android, but works great on Apple and Mac. What do you dislike about Blockly?

Requires you to have adobe in order to use it. Otherwise, I have not had to troubleshoot or talk to support so I don't have any other complaints so far. Not sure how it works on Android. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Blockly:

Whether you're an employer wanting staff to get some practice or a teacher wanting to show your students how to effectively code, I highly suggest using Blockly or at least giving it a trial run. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Blockly solving and how is that benefiting you?

Learning how to write code to make games in a computer apps class. It works great with Chrome and have not had any problems with it crashing, hurting my computer, or slowing down my system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Using Blockly Games"

What do you like best about Blockly?

Primarily using the series of educational games that teach programming to non experienced Greek-American children. I like the fact that it does not require prior knowledge as it offers the basic tools to start a new and exciting project. It has worked very well with young students, online and might I add offline, as the developers website allows to download zip files for offline use. It runs well using our Chrome browser. It's also a good software for those who are beginners in writing code. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Blockly?

So far, it's been such a good experience with Blockly. We have not contacted the support team as of yet so I have no opinion as far as that subject goes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Blockly?

Blockly's user interference is the best of the best . Google implemented a good simplicity in programming.

What do you like best about Blockly?

I like the user interface and inviting colours and layout. I appreciate that they are trying to get more people into app development by attempting to simplify the process. However, I feel like they may have missed the mark. I do like the vision behind the product in wanting an easy to use web/app development tool Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Blockly?

I dislike that for someone who is an experienced programmer, this is a much slower process than actually typing out all the code. I find it harder to visualize than code written in easy straight lines. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Blockly:

I would look at directly learning to code or to find a more recent program to use other than this one. It did not work out well for us and I suspect it hasnt worked well for most users. I did not find the blocks very visually friendly however yes the colours were appealing. For others, try something else first and use this as a last resort if needed, Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Blockly solving and how is that benefiting you?

We attempted to solve the problem of helping new developers with less coding experience to use the building blocks and create apps. This did not solve our problems and instead created more. Instead of teaching people the basics of coding in a specific language, they struggled with the blocks and then could not fix the code once it was synthesized. The entire concept of Blockly is what the programming works needs. The fact that it gives you a visual representation of what syntax works and what doesn't is key as many people are visual learners. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Didn't dislike anything in particular but it would
