It is a constant battle with every new peice of software and technology that comes out to keep things secure. BlackFog is another tool that administrators can benefit from by running on the inside looking out. It helps us by protecting our data from the biggest threat that most companies have and that is the uneducated end user. Blackfog can geoblock, prevent malicious and questionable programs from executing, monitor the dark web for your information, and shut down malicious advertising when browsing. It monitors programs trying to run and what data leaves the workstation or server. A great feature to the software is the abilty to easily pull information on anything that triggers a positive. This gives you more information on what, who, when and where that is going on and gives you the critical information you need to decide what actions if any need to be taken. ### 6. It does not confict with other main stream software except for a minor tweak maybe to let your enterprise antivirus know it is trusted. It has great up to the minute reporting. Provides tools to track down events to help you make security decisions. Additionally it breaks down threats into groupings. Black Fogs onboarding and customer support is second to none that I have encountered in 40 years working in the IT industry. The software also has additional features to tighten up your security as your wish such as geo blocking and I block powershell on end users due to the current threats easily using it for bad results. I cannot leave out the ability to scan the dark web for user accounts that may have been breached. This is a great feature to have for any board members and high ranking company officials that usually have high level access to your network and shares. **What do you dislike about BlackFog?** I wish Black Fog would offer Anti-virus and patch software to provide an all inclusive web interface to monitor security from one console. **What problems is BlackFog solving and how is that benefiting you?** Our company is based in Health Care and we cannot risk a breach due to the amount and type of personal information we store. When a business it atacked and especially when ransomware is involed it seems to make headline news. We might not be able to withstand the backlash, the break in trust and funds it would take to correct the situation. The question would be is how long could we keep functioning with a huge loss in revenue. Black Fog is watching 24 X 7 for any data exfiltration and blocking our users from getting access to sites in countries that are notorius for bad actors. When I see an email alert, I can jump on the console and use the built in tools to start tracking down the information such as the who, what, where and when. This gives me the facts I need to make quick decisions I wouldnt be able to otherwise. They are reviewing and updating me on what they see at regular interval or if something specific comes up. Appreciate how the reports are broken down with executive summary type input when sent to me as well. **What do you dislike about BlackFog?** i'm very happy overall. since your survey requires input here, one thing that would be nice is being able to change the computer ID within the portal while still preserving the actual ID on machine. Data theft is the first thing that happens in modern day ransomware attacks. Many of the big box EDR/MDR solutions are still missing this critical feature. Deployment and management of the solution is super easy and straightforward. The threat intel available in the admin portal is extremely benefical and up to date. It is supported on all majors platforms, Windows, Mac OS, iOS, Android, and ChromeOS. Please note that BlackFog is very much a complimentary product to your EDR/MDR solutions. You need both. **What do you dislike about BlackFog?** The only thing that I wish BlackFog did was remove the malicious software that is exfiltrating data.
