We have managed to reduce the amount of spam and unsolicited email with the installation of this software. We received a lot of quantity before having it installed and in the end it was very annoying to have to check which emails are really important and which are simply spam without anything relevant.

It also has the facility to increase or reduce certain layers of security, since its levels of protection against malware or viruses are widely modifiable, which allows to be flexible and adapt security as you want. The initial configuration from my point of view is somewhat complicated for the administration of patches that involve the presence of certain certificates. This means that you have to spend time reviewing and adapting the configuration so that the operation is correct.

The automatic product updates always seem to have issues, at any one time over half of our endpoints will have errors with updates, despite being online. I've used a variety of BitDefender products over the years and they've all had a variety of software bugs and issues that were time consuming to troubleshoot and fix. This wouldn't be a huge problem if it weren't for the fact that every single issue has been present for years. Every time there was a problem I would find evidence that the problem had been around for at least 2-3 years and it was never permanently fixed. But what I like least about BitDefender as a company, is that a lot of their products cannot be easily deactivated. You are stuck with their Auto-Renew turned on and there is no way to disable it through the software or the online portal. You have to open tickets with their support team to disable it, and getting this done is a complete and total nightmare. I've been arguing with their support staff for over a week now requesting that they disable my auto-renew and close my account with BitDefender, and they won't do it. I'm about to make my fifth request...Each time they come back with excuses as to why I shouldn't close my account; their last excuse was because "I would miss out on their promotional offers". No seriously. That is what they told me. So far I've worked with: Alina, Ana, David, and Andreea at BitDefender's Customer "Service" department. None of them fulfilled my simple request to close my account. So in summary: avoid ANY BitDefender product like the plague. They are shoddy products backed by a terrible company, that is bordering on a scam. And if you were charged because of their auto renew, call your bank and initiate a charge-back.
