"Instrumental into building single-source of truth"
5/5
What do you like best about beVault (formerly dataFactory)?

We were able to merge in a central place all the data sources of the IT department. This represented: 1 200 resources, 250 projects grouped in 12 portfolio's. We build a single source of truth to pilot a yearly budget of 90M€. We can reconcile the financial view with the operational (capacity) view.

We were able to integrate many sources, even referentials (Excel files). The dataFactory gave us the flexibility to evolve requirements. This was key as business requirements were not 100% mature. We were able to add new sources, while keeping history of data.

Lots of changes happened in the organisation. Organisation changes and change in financial calculation rules / definitions. We used the historisation capabilities of the dataFactory to keep this under control. We were able to split the evolution in figures into changes of scope or evolution of financial KPI.

In less than 10 months, we were able to achieve what we did not think was possible: The onboarding and weekly use of our capacity dashboards by the 75 middle managers. As a consequence, our forecast exercice shrinked from 2 months to 3 days, with an accuracy of 2%. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about beVault (formerly dataFactory)?

Requires a bit of thinking to modelise the datamodel in datavault. But we were supported by great consultants. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"dFakto's commitment to Data Vault 2 compliance is proven-the 1st vendor to achieve DVA's cert!"
5/5
What do you like best about beVault (formerly dataFactory)?

It is easy to use and intuitive. I've watched as they evolve their product to integrate more data types and platforms. dFakto is the first automation vendor to satisfy the compliance rigor of DataVaultAlliance's and Dan Linstedt's Vendor Tool Certification Program. It is a commitment to excellence. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about beVault (formerly dataFactory)?

Perhaps future enhancements would include metadata processing for audio, image, video, and documents. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Best way to maximize delivered value to the Businesses"
5/5
What do you like best about beVault (formerly dataFactory)?

First, dfakto is the only (at this time) automation tool to be DV2 compliant. It fits the data vault methodology perfectly. Using dfakto to implement your data vault program means to highly reduce the time-to-deliver, so it means you can deliver more for your businesses than if you have done it "manually" in the same period of time. It's an automation tool: you implement your DV model into the tool, you press the button and that's it => all DDLs and loading DMLs are here, all human mistakes are deleted so the testing part is also reduced. Moreover, the data quality management feature is very helpful! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about beVault (formerly dataFactory)?

There is no actual downside of using dfakto; I would say that the area for improvement is about expanding target databases compliance even though there is already a large scale of them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Unlocking the full value of business data"
5/5
What do you like best about beVault (formerly dataFactory)?

The real-time data access, insights, sourced from various systems in a complex, yet streamlined ecosystem, allowing for enhanced financial management, data quality, accountability, and overall efficiency within the organisation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about beVault (formerly dataFactory)?

The dataFactory brings a certain complexity which might represent challenges in the user experience. As an example, cross-source data insights represent a more complex integration and implementation. Nevertheless, the in-depth accompaniment of the dFakto team softened this aspect for our users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Ease complex co-existence of data sources to obtain meaningful insights for business decisions"
5/5
What do you like best about beVault (formerly dataFactory)?

The possibility to combine data from multiple data sources and obtain reports that are historised while enhancing data quality. There are a lot of bad data entries at source level managed by different stakeholders in the company. The data-factory allows to see them to improve reporting quality and analysis capacity. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about beVault (formerly dataFactory)?

Difficult to understand. Some Stakeholders believe it is the same as connecting data sources through APIs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
