It's a great balance of every day features for the production team and in depth reporting for the sales and finance teams. We use Beer30 every day for every part of the business. It's easy to implement and the Beer30 team walks you through the process. **What do you dislike about Beer30?** I can't think of a downside or dislike with Beer30. Occasionally there will be an issue with the integration between Beer30 and Quickbooks, but it's almost always on the Quickbooks side and the Beer30 team goes above and beyond to resolve the issue. **What problems is Beer30 solving and how is that benefiting you?** Before Beer30 we used endless spreadsheets, Google docs, CRM tools, and sticky notes; the list goes on and on. Beer30 put everything in one place and made it easy for our departments to collaborate. In addition, it added hundreds of other features and benefits we weren't getting with our archaic systems. I can't express enough how nice it is to open a single piece of software during a meeting and find everything you're looking for! ### 2. If you spend any time in a brewery where things are prone to getting hosed down, you understand immediately why that's a terrible idea. In addition, it was hard to update excel spreadsheets because so often you don't have a moment to sit down at a computer and actually log information. We didn't have a great way to log information, inventory was a never ending adventure, and trying to find a recipe was more difficult than I like to recall. And that says nothing about recording fermentation data, dry hops, number of days in fermentation, etc. All in all, not the most helpful or effecient. We signed up with Beer30 at the end of 2020 and we haven't looked back. It has literally saved our sanity! All the relevent brewery information is a click away. We can run the program on our phones, ipads, and computers so you can see what is happening at any time and from any place. Yes, you still have to put in the information, but its so fast and easy that you can do it right in the moment. Beyond just making the general record keeping infinitely easier, my favorite parts about Beer30 are the insanely responsive customer service and the incredibly intuitive design of the software. We didn't require extensive training to set it up and start using it. I highly recommend this program! **What do you dislike about Beer30?** I can't say that there is much that I dislike about Beer30. I do feel that they are responsive to all feature requests which can be a mixed blessing. On the one hand you get to have a real impact on the product that you are using daily. On the other hand, the new features can sometimes be at the expense of a streamlined interface. 99% of the time, it's just a matter of locating the item you are looking for and generally I find things to be pretty logical and easy to find. **What problems is Beer30 solving and how is that benefiting you?** No brewery should use exclusively paper records. Beer30 puts all of the brewery planning, scheduling, inventory, and general daily tasks in one spot. Things are easy to locate, easy to use, and it encourages people to log things as they go rather than waiting until they can get a few minutes with their computer. I think it has made us more streamlined, accurate, and organized. ### 3. Overall, I would say it's reliability and instant support for all great features! **What do you dislike about Beer30?** On rare occasions it can be sluggish but this is quite rare. **What problems is Beer30 solving and how is that benefiting you?** First and foremost it helps with day to day operations by tracking all of the brewery operations. As a result of tracking ALL operations we are able to do ingredient tracking, excise tax tracking, customer sales tracking etc. We have to have our food safety plan reviewed every two years (National Programme 3 similar to a HAACP plan) and being able to demonstrate that we can track ANY ingredient immediately to all customers that purchased beers with that product is critical and Beer30 makes that a breeze. Likewise in a recent Excise Tax audit we easily passed as the auditors were able to trace every product from manufacturing to sale to filing our excise tax return and had 100% confidence in our accurate reporting and paying excise taxes due. They had commented that they had never experienced any other brewery with such accurate records! Lastly as owners, we are able to keep track of our costs, compare batches to each other, know where our inventory levels are, and how beers are progressing. Many other benefits but too many too list! ### 4. The company name - The Fifth Ingredient - rings true as there is a tremendous amount of data in the system to help our business. From Planning to Production through to Sales, the application provides our team with access to key data. The MRP capability supports procurement and helps us manage our raw material inventory. We have been able to link Sales and Production Forecasting to effectively manage the Supply/Demand challenges of our Taproom, on/off Premise customers. The Product is simple to use, and the Support function is outstanding. They have Global support, and the entire team is very knowledgeable. I have had some of the design team members jump in to address questions that need attention. I was nervous about switching products after 5 years, but now believe that was the right decision. They continue to add features that help us manage the Supply Chain and Market challenges. No regrets about making the change! **What do you dislike about Beer30?** I have no real issue with the products. While all products could be better or add new features, the team listens to their customers and they are open to discussion about my recommendations **What problems is Beer30 solving and how is that benefiting you?** The addition of the Demand Management (DM) module that was recently added has helped us to get off an Excel-based planning system. This provides us with real-time access to sales and inventory data and provides us the ability to react more quickly to changes in our production plan. Having everything in a single product has significantly reduced my data management time and allowed me to spend that time on analysis and forward-thinking topic to help manage our business. ### 5. It provides real time tracking and great reporting capabilities. Demand planning, master production scheduling will be a game changer for us. All done manually today. **What problems is Beer30 solving and how is that benefiting you?** Beer30 allows me to track inventory, plan brewing and packaging runs as well as materials. We use it to place purchase orders and manage our inbounds schedule. We also use the interface with GPA to load sales order from our wholesalers. We are using the tool to keep track of all goods movemeent within the brewery Costing and beer loss are also very important reporting functionalities that allow us to look at cost savings opportunities and efficiency gains ### 6. We have been extremely happy with the functionality of the system, but even happier with the excellent customer support and ongoing product development. The B30 group has a can-do attitude and they truly care about helping us optimize our brewery operations. We looked at a number of competitors' software offerings, but once we spoke to B30 and saw what they could do we never looked back. Truly best in class. I've got supply chain, accounting and brewers working hand in hand, truly collaborating on a day-to-day basis and all working from the same source of truth! **What do you dislike about Beer30?** We have not had any challenges the B30 team could not solve. **What problems is Beer30 solving and how is that benefiting you?** Using Beer30 we are able to quickly get an overview of the status of every tank in the brewery, track recipe, packaging and ingredient standard costs and research any variances. We are able to document and optimize our production activity in the system, then seamlessly manage our inventory, track orders and send invoices to our distributor, and plan our production and materials requirements. Finally, we use B30 excise tax reporting to keep us compliant with regulatory agencies. With our entire team relying on Beer30, we are able to collaborate across departments. ### 7. It is very segmented and not only easy to use, but also easy to train your staff so that they can input all the required data easily, on time, and in the right place making it much easier from a managment persepective. **What do you dislike about Beer30?** It cannot track best before dates in inventory. **What problems is Beer30 solving and how is that benefiting you?** Raw material and finished good inventory tracking, as well as product quality metrics throughout production. Beer30 has made managing production much more consistent, gives sales and Front of House valuable timelines for release schedules, and gives me peace of mind that all of our important data is current and secure in one location. Its ease of use, coupled with time savings and robust reporting, make it an easy piece of software to recommend to anyone looking to improve their management game. **What do you dislike about Beer30?** Its not cheap but you get what you pay for. **What problems is Beer30 solving and how is that benefiting you?** Record keeping and repeatability have greatly improved. Now, decisions on pricing are made with averages across several batches using running averages such as yield, fluctuating raw material prices, etc. State and Federal reporting is also GREATLY simplified and takes minutes vs in excess of an hour with accuracy that I can depend on. ### 10. At Your Mates Brewing Co, we tried unsuccessfully to onboard with other inventory systems due to long winded on-boarding processes. After making the decision, we had on boarded and were brewing within two days and haven't skipped a beat since. Beer30 is constantly evolving and is even more powerful than when we first started using the software and we are excited to see where the program takes us! **What do you dislike about Beer30?** Some things are a little difficult that aren't a focus like the complex packaging section but as with everything it has improved ten fold in a short time. **What problems is Beer30 solving and how is that benefiting you?** Housing all of our data, helping with procurement, costing, quality & distribution. ### 11. It has intuitive workflows, a comprehensive feature set, and is priced economically. The product team is tremendously responsive and they rollout enhancements and fixes faster than most other platforms I have used over the years. **What do you dislike about Beer30?** There are so many features that occasionally it's hard to remember where to find them. This is mitigated by live WhatApp support though, so we never have to interrupt a brew day while we figure things out. Also onboarding training was a winner. **What problems is Beer30 solving and how is that benefiting you?** Beer30 keeps me on top of inventory (raw materials and finished goods), tax reporting, and brand/batch management as well as organizing sales activity. It has replaced a set of homegrown worksheets and databases thus saving me significant time and money each month. ### 12.
