BaseShot Reviews & Product Details

BaseShot is a screenshot and screen recording app for Windows and Mac. Teams use it to capture, explain, and share what's on their screen: annotated screenshots for bug reports and documentation, and polished screen recordings for product demos, walkthroughs, and client feedback. Screenshots: capture an area, a window, the full screen, or a scrolling page; annotate with arrows, text, highlights, step counters, spotlight, and redaction; add backgrounds and shadows; copy text with OCR. Screen recording: record with camera, microphone, and system audio; automatic zoom on clicks, cursor effects, and keystroke display; noise reduction and captions generated locally; export MP4 or GIF up to 4K. BaseShot Cloud: share any capture as a link with comments and password protection, search inside screenshots and recordings, update a capture while keeping the same link, and work together in a shared team workspace. The desktop app is free. BaseShot Cloud is $6 per person a month.
