Basically buying a physical machine for all employee would be the headache, but buying Azure Virtual Desktop would be helpful in this case, and those desktops can be scaled accordingly based on the employee's scope. ### 2. For security reasons we have to give them a company owned desktop or laptop to keep our data safe. So instead of purchasing new desktop/Laptop we have used AVD multisession solution so that we can secure our data and its easy to use and manage. ### 4. This gives you access to non-cloud programs, giving you an advantage over competitors. **What do you dislike about Azure Virtual Desktop?** Nothing about Azure is unappealing, but a few security features, including screen recording and screen sharing control, are necessary. **What problems is Azure Virtual Desktop solving and how is that benefiting you?** It is crucial for many people's safety to be able to carry their computer about at all times. The client makes remote work and travel easy, as it can be used on any device other than an iOS or Android one. It is quite helpful to have my documents with me at all times. It does make it challenging to move it from that remote client to your regular computer, but I'm sure there must be a way to get around it. ### 7. For monitoring and reporting needs, AVD Workloads may be effortlessly linked with Azure Monitor and Log Analytics Workspace. **What do you dislike about Azure Virtual Desktop?** Access is limited to internet connections, which is probably normal for the time being. OPEX over CAPEX is one standout feature that makes AVD the best in the market. **What do you dislike about Azure Virtual Desktop?** Image level updates regularly especially addressing zero-day vulnerabilities, make it cumbersome for admins to catch with the tighter timelines; however, there are additional 3rd tools like Nerdio, which makes the process quicker but comes with additional cost. **What problems is Azure Virtual Desktop solving and how is that benefiting you?** AVD can be deployed within a few hours, help organisations get their users onboarded securely and safely, provide centralised administration, isolate organisations' infra from other tenants, help save infrastructure costs, and increase operational efficiency. Comparing this with the on-prem VDI deployment type will give a lot of flexibility in ramping up or down on a need basis with no additional expenditure. ### 10. Cost wise its cheaper when compared to equivalent products in the market. **What do you dislike about Azure Virtual Desktop?** Limitations with respect to usage of Microsoft Teams like some functionality/features are not supported like Request Control and even Teams get disconnected often when we are connected via AVD. Since AVD is a Microsoft product, we expected it to work better with Teams, but that's not the case. **Recommendations to others considering Azure Virtual Desktop:** If Cost is one of the criteria, certainly you can consider AVD. There are some pitfalls we have seen like frequent AVD disconnections, compatibility with Microsoft Teams etc, but expecting all these issues to be sorted out in next 6 months, so the users can have much better experience. **What problems is Azure Virtual Desktop solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are able to get almost the equivalent functionalities when compared to other products in the market at a relatively cheaper price. ### 11.
