Though it was little difficult for me to learn Azure but was the best experience as an easy to use platform I've ever come across. Earlier as a fresher the service charge was something I first look over and with Microsoft’s pay as you go approach lets you pay only for the resources you use while utilizing Azure services and hence was enough pocket friendly. Data security is the next thing I mostly concern and with Azure it was more than my expectation. I'm sure it will keep you one step ahead of the rivalry. I was a little bit cetic about performance when running cloud environments, but it was really good on Azure. I/O performance is fair, even using mechanical HD's on VM's (because they are cheapper), performance are pretty much equivalend to a real mechanic HD. And its pretty cheap. You can pick vm's with 4 cores and a decent amount of RAM for a fair price. **What do you dislike about Azure Linux Virtual Machines?** I can't really remember something i dislike about it. These features can change too, so investing dev time in a great feature months later can result in the need to rework some things. **Recommendations to others considering Azure Linux Virtual Machines:** Take time learning how to write templates from scratch. Simply copying the generated templates and hoping they will be reusable is a bad idea.
