"Easy to deploy BI Tools like Metabase"
4/5
What do you like best about AWS Elastic Beanstalk?

Easy to deploy BI tools like Metabase using AWS Elastic Beanstalk.

If we have an RDS already up and running, we can integrate it with Beanstalk using Environment variables as a standalone service.

You can create snapshots and restore previous versions of Metabase, if needed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about AWS Elastic Beanstalk?

Imagine deploying changes to your web application frequently - Not so straight forward sometimes to understand the root cause behind Beanstalk environment creation/updation failures. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Handy tool for getting simple applications up and running fast"
4/5
What do you like best about AWS Elastic Beanstalk?

Elastic Beanstalk has provided us a quick and easy way to get simple applications quickly up and running without the hassle of complex configuration. It's easy enough to use so that pretty much anyone could drag and drop a new application version to be deployed. Rolling back to previous versions is also super simple. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about AWS Elastic Beanstalk?

There is still a learning curve and not all the features work as expected, one noteworthy issue is that drag and drop "upload and deploy" won't work with Safari. If something doesn't work with the application it can be a bit more difficult to check the logs from the Beanstalk itself compared to CloudWatch. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"AWS Beanstalk"
5/5
What do you like best about AWS Elastic Beanstalk?

Support for multiple programming languages and platforms, such as Node.js, PHP, Python, and more. Automatic scaling and load balancing to handle varying workloads and traffic volumes. Integration with other AWS services for advanced functionality. Pay-as-you-go pricing based on the resources consumed. Also, it is easy to use and implement, and we can use it frequently and provide good customer support. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about AWS Elastic Beanstalk?

There are no such disadvantages and drawbacks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great development experience to get up and running in minutes"
4/5
What do you like best about AWS Elastic Beanstalk?

Currently I'm consulting for a startup in AI space. While we are not focusing on beanstalk for the AI specific bits, beanstalk has helped up to get up and running with a backoffice built in go. It has been great how assisted beanstalk is. For now the way it seamlessly handles resources like EC2 instances under the hood has been great for my dev team to get focused on building features Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about AWS Elastic Beanstalk?

It could be (we haven't experienced this yet) that in the future, there would be a tight coupling with AWS stuff. It is nice if you work entirely with AWS ecosystem, but then if you need to migrate for some reason, you would need to make certain adjustments to your codebase Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"One of the easiest way to spin up a service from Docker container on AWS"
3.5/5
What do you like best about AWS Elastic Beanstalk?

You don't need to manually provision and manage ECS Cluster, you specify the Docker image and autoscaling policy on Beanstalk and the service provisions the application for you. Much less hussle comparing to raw ECS, especially networking part. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about AWS Elastic Beanstalk?

AWS Elastic Beanstalk is an old service of AWS, in the latest version it's a wrapper on top of ECS with lots of custom ECS features unavailable, like Fargate containers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"AWS Elastic Beanstalk: A better PaaS"
5/5
What do you like best about AWS Elastic Beanstalk?

It is very easy to set up and deploy applications which is the best thing about it and also, there's automatic provisioning so I can focus on coding and also, it integrates well with other AWS services. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about AWS Elastic Beanstalk?

The only thing I hate about it is that I have very limited control which is both a good thing and a bad thing and there's also a risk of vendor lock-in. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Best AWS Platform as a service provider"
5/5
What do you like best about AWS Elastic Beanstalk?

Elastic Beanstalk being fully managed service, all the security updates and patches are done automatically for the provisioned resources. It is very user friendly and simple, we just need to upload the code and Elastic Beanstalk handles the rest by setting an environment to run the code. It supports various programming languages like Python, .NET, Java etc. It is a very simple and streamlined process. One of the best features is it can handle autoscaling of resources that are needed to support the deployed application. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about AWS Elastic Beanstalk?

Nothing much, but they can improve on the documentation around this service and provide more transparency for the customers to use all features clearly. Apart from that, I don't see any other problems with this service. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Simplicity that makes deployment super easy"
4/5
What do you like best about AWS Elastic Beanstalk?

I have been using AWS services for more than a year now. It used to be a tedious task to deploy instances on the cloud and then manage the applications. Using Beanstalk has been such a savior because it seamlessly integrates with existing EC2 instances. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about AWS Elastic Beanstalk?

If it could support cron jobs and SageMaker as well, that would have been awesome. Overall, I believe it is a great addition to the existing services offered by AWS. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
