Amazon does not charge an extra fee for the batch Jobs. They only charge for the resources which Batch Job is spawning say EC2 instance, S3 Storage, etc. AWS Batch plays an important role running many jobs at scale, particularly with multiple dependencies. It makes very easy to run that and you don't have to worry about the resources. It's very easy to configure the jobs in AWS Batch and configure the Compute environment. Documentation is really simple. With AWS Batch, there is no need to install any external Batch Computing Tool on the resources. **What do you dislike about AWS Batch?** Maximum number of jobs you can have in a queue is 20 which i would say is low for a bigger organization . as well as the limitation on the maximum number of compute environments. Another thing, support for this product can be improved more. **Recommendations to others considering AWS Batch:** Teams who are running their services on AWS, should use the AWS Batch for the batch processing jobs as it gives you a lot of out of box solutions. You don't have to worry about how other resources will communicate with each other for batch Jobs. Configuring Batch jobs is really easy as it's well documented. The best part AWS is not charging you for this. They will charge you only for the resources what AWS Batch will be spawning. **What problems is AWS Batch solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are running lot of batch jobs to clear the resources overnight that we are using. E.g:- Cleaning up the unused docker containers/volumes/networks. Collecting the various application logs overnight and store them in a file Taking a snapshot of various volumes. ### 35. Resource management is really help. **What do you dislike about AWS Batch?** No cluster base execution limited the usability on distributed training model.
