I do brand and packaging work for small clients, and a lot of what lands on my desk is unreleased: product renders, packaging shots, founder portraits. Every online background remover I used before meant uploading those files to a third-party server, which is a conversation I did not want to have with clients who sign NDAs. AwaCut runs the model on my Mac, offline, so that conversation is over. The quality on product photography and studio portraits is as good as remove.bg in my tests, and the PNG comes out with a proper alpha channel at the original resolution, so it drops into Figma, Affinity or Photoshop without the halo you get from 8-bit transparency. Batch is the other reason I keep it: a client sends 80 SKU photos, I drop the folder, and they are done while I work on something else. The outline option, a clean sticker border around the cutout, is a small thing that saves me a Photoshop action every time I do die-cut stickers or labels. $29 a year for two machines is less than one month of the subscriptions it replaced.
