You can integrate 3D models and objects from different tools (Revit, Civil 3D, sketch up, etc) into one 3D model that shows the infrastructure, building and landscaping items. What do you like best about Autodesk InfraWorks 360?

One of the things that I like the most about Infraworks is that it is very user friendly. The learning curve to Implement this software is considerably shorter than many of the other softwares that Autodesk has to offer. Another thing that is really high on my list is the interoperability between softwares. Being able to bring in many files from different sources is key as we are not guaranteed to be on the same platform across the board in a project. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Autodesk InfraWorks 360?

The main thing that I would say is lacking in the software is a library of components. While it is simple to go into Autodesk Formit and create some massing shapes to accommodate what you are trying to portray. If there was a more robust Library right out of the box I think that it would get more people up and running considerably faster. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Make sure that you have a clear direction for your Implementation and rollout based upon the required scope. Only take it as far as you need to take it. There a lot of great things with this software and it is easy to go down a rabbit hole that you do not need to and therefore spending more time and money then you need to. What problems is Autodesk InfraWorks 360 solving and how is that benefiting you?

As we all know, people these days are especially visual. Being able to take our project to the next level by showing the Site Layout and Plan in 3D, gives the project team as well as the owners better insight into how the site itself is going to operate. Along with allowing a clearer picture for the owners and the project team, this allows us to evaluate our plans and even optimize the site anywhere that is possible. What do you like best about Autodesk InfraWorks 360?

I am using Autodesk InfraWorks 360 from 2016, its combine GIS/BIM platform for Preliminary design and Construction project, where one can create the Proposed Site Model for Resedential,Highway design, port planning etc, in no time,, ITs very flexible software to integrate any type of Site data, building models and utilites data from various sources in spatial refrence , to view in 3D dimensions and aslo top create Scenic presentation for client reviews , before the project is to be built. What do you dislike about Autodesk InfraWorks 360?

Anything i dislike about this is detailed analysis , but i hope Autodesk is adding that feature too in Future , to become a single modeling and detailed design softwares for Civil Engineering projects. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Autodesk InfraWorks 360?

I find InfraWorks most useful in looking at large site grading exercises. It has allowed me to quickly zero in on first floor elevations for terminals in a large trucking facility that minimized cut/fill. Much more quickly than traditional methods. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Autodesk InfraWorks 360?

Needs improvements - for example road intersections in the middle of a horizontal curve where the travel lanes change width are not created properly, Alignments cannot close on themselves. Both of these items occur frequently in commercial developments. Having lanes cross the center alignment is also needed - for example a left turn lane that is positioned to the left side of the alignment. Wish it had better parcel tools - for land subdivision. What problems is Autodesk InfraWorks 360 solving and how is that benefiting you?

My greatest success with it was creating a site proposal with renderings in an evening - that ultimately won my firm a large project. I pretty much ignored its visualization capabilities (I am a 3ds Max guy) - but am actually impressed with what it was able to do for me. We won the project because IW allowed me to quickly explore design possibilities and demonstrate to the client that we listened to them, and tired things they asked for.
