## Autodesk CFD Reviews
  ### 1. Simple. Fast. Satisfactory.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rohin A. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 30, 2024

**What do you like best about Autodesk CFD?**

Like all Autodesk products, it has a beginner-friendly UI and a gentle learning curve. The automatic meshing option makes it easier to focus on post-processing and results for simple fluid flow scenarios. Autodesk customer support delivers and the user community is fairly wide.

**What do you dislike about Autodesk CFD?**

With limited solvers and meshing capabilities compared to industry standard software like ANSYS Fluent and Star-CCM+, it leaves much to be desired in complex flow modeling. That makes Autodesk CFD my 5th choice when dealing with CFD simulations in the automotive, biomedical, or aviation sectors.

**What problems is Autodesk CFD solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Autodesk CFD helped generate preliminary flow results for an HVAC system without complex meshing and setup tasks, thereby cutting down lead times for design iterations when model fidelity was not the main focus.

**Reviewed by:** Viken K. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 30, 2018

**What do you like best about Autodesk CFD?**

This software is incredibly powerful. It gave me the opportunity to expand our business practices and instill greater confidence in our proposed solutions.I've attached a simulation of a very specific enclosure in which airflow was constricted at the intake, and created internal pressure such that maintenance access was not possible (opening the doors). This simulation helps improve the design of the final solution to grant access to the interior of the enclosure by reducing the airflow path and reducing the overall static/dynamic pressure of the enclosure.

**What do you dislike about Autodesk CFD?**

The software comes with a very steep learning curve. That being said, it is designed to be used by highly competent individuals (HQPs - Highly Qualified Personnel) to make strong engineering decisions.

**Recommendations to others considering Autodesk CFD:**
