In my case, I mainly use AstroPay to receive my salary, and what I find useful is being able to actually see when the money hits without having to wait on a bank notification. I usually check the app directly to confirm the payment and review the exact amount, which helps avoid confusion. I also use the CLABE transfer option regularly to move money to my local bank account. It’s not the most flexible system, but once you have your details set up, it’s straightforward to send funds out. Having the transaction history in one place is also helpful when I need to double-check past payments. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about ASTROPAY? The biggest issue for me is that transfers can take longer than expected. There have been times where I’m waiting on my salary and it just doesn’t arrive as quickly as I would expect, which makes it hard to rely on timing. Another thing is the digital card. I’ve had situations in physical stores where the payment doesn’t go through on the first try, so I have to attempt it again, which is uncomfortable when you’re at the checkout. Also, when doing local transfers, some bank names don’t always show correctly, which makes you double-check everything before sending money. It solves the basic need of receiving payments without depending entirely on a traditional bank, especially for international payments. At least I have one place where the money arrives and I can verify it directly. For me, the main benefit is visibility. What I like best about AstroPay is how simple and fast it is to use. The interface is intuitive, the app runs smoothly, and making payments or purchases online has never been easier for me. The only downside I’ve noticed is that not all merchants or platforms accept AstroPay, so it’s not always an option everywhere. The best thing is its ease of conversion and easy steps to use with a short process to organize multi-currencies and international investments. The options to transfer money come for only specific round figures, but they should have made it possible to move even 1 USD or less for US residents. Like most of us, I used PayPal as an international payment gateway, but when I had to send some bucks to the US, there wasn't a way to send it directly in USD. UPI and paytm payment modes are not available most of the times. Would be great if they introduce UPI transfers to others and to merchant sites. They need to upgrade to current payment systems.
