The support team deserves special mention—their live chat is outstanding, and everyone is consistently helpful. It's obvious to me that Asset-Map is genuinely invested in the success of the Advisors who use it. I highly recommend this tool to Financial Advisors. **What do you dislike about Asset-Map?** There are only a few minor features I would like to see added to the tool, but I don't consider these to be true downsides, as other advisors might not share my preferences. For example, I would appreciate more planning features, such as highly interactive and user-friendly retirement accumulation calculators that are easy to demonstrate to clients. A couple of integrations would be good that don't exist. Additionally, I wish the company would publish a public roadmap. I always enjoy when tools provide this, as it gives me something to anticipate and look forward to, and ability to submit requests. Overall, I don't see any real downsides to this tool—just a few personal preferences for future improvements. They also release new updates regularly, so I am confident that some of these minor suggestions may be addressed in the future. **What problems is Asset-Map solving and how is that benefiting you?** Asset-Map has helped me streamline my processes, from gathering information to delivering client materials like a visually appealing asset map. It can be presented in whatever format feels most intuitive, whether that’s a list view, the "Asset-Map" view, a balance sheet, etc. Target Maps have a huge impact as well. People can go to anyone for money management, but we are PLANNERS, and our value lies in being able to measure the impact of decisions and guide clients toward choices that move them closer to their goals—which is ultimately what people are looking for. We also love, love, love the questionnaire. It’s visually appealing and high-level, and it gets us the information we need without feeling too intrusive. Discovery has always been a roadblock, and this makes that process much easier. Keep up the great work! We love LJ and Michael and are very impressed with the service we receive. **What do you dislike about Asset-Map?** I think there’s one major area where there’s room for improvement. Personally, I’d like the ability to adjust rates of return per account, rather than having a single rate applied across the board. Having one ROR doesn’t really help facilitate discussions around portfolio construction or sequence-of-returns risk, and it also doesn’t allow us to properly illustrate the impact of lost opportunity cost for clients who hold large cash positions or for clients whose positions are too risky. It’s also possible I’m missing something on my end. In addition, it would be helpful to have a way to share documents through the client portal. That said, I realize this could create a bigger storage and management issue. Maybe something like a Box.com integration with the client portal could address that? **What problems is Asset-Map solving and how is that benefiting you?** Asset-Map allows us to have “what-if” discussions with our clients around potentially financially devastating scenarios, such as long-term care events, job loss, and loss of life. The rollout of Relationship Maps is such a powerful resoure and the rollout of Sidebar is such a game changer! **What do you dislike about Asset-Map?** It would be nice to see the notes flow through to my CRM system as well as reports as they're generated or any pdf that is generated in Asset-Map that they can flow through to Wealthbox. I think it'd make it easy if there was a built-in roth conversion calculations but it's still is able to illustrate roth conversion if you know the numbers so for now it's all gravy. **What problems is Asset-Map solving and how is that benefiting you?** Financial Planning and helping illustrate the gaps in clients plans, opportunites to uncover new/outside money, give them a scoreboard of how on track on their to reaching their goals. ### 15. Helps design plans for clients and also show them in a way that is easy for them to understand. Many times the most important piece of a plan is not that we as the advisor put one together, but rather we can explain it in a way that brings forth action. I had misunderstood a paid feature when signing up a few months ago, and without hesitating they gave it to me for free when I emailed for help, along with very timely, accurate, and helpful links to resources. It is fairly easy to navigate the tool. I like how the Target Maps present. **What do you dislike about Asset-Map?** I would like the ability to show "half percentages" I realize Adam has always wanted to keep Asset Map simple and did not want to allow this. However, it would be very helpfull when doing COLA projections on Social Security or inflation in general. (I'd like to be able to show a 2.5% COLA for Social Security) I am thankfull that a few years ago we were able to click on the "graph" icon and show the Target Map projection in a graph form. Please change this to allow us to be able to include that view in Reports. Showing a person they will run out of money at age 79 has a lot more impact than simply showing they 84% funded for their retirement goal. It would also be helpful if we had the ability to click a "Before tax" or an "After-Tax" button on this chart. It works very well for my needs. I have not had a client situation arise where the system could not help me visualize the scenario. I would like to see a very detailed cash flow report at least for me--not necessily for the client. **What problems is Asset-Map solving and how is that benefiting you?** Almost all prospective clients have a financial plan of some type done. For years it was mostly fee-based high-end detailed financial plans. However, today many don't need that, but other less detailed plans I had were not much more than sophicated calculators--I assumed Asset-Map was the same. I was very pleased to find out it is much more. The primary benefits are if I believe Asset-Map is the best choice for the client/prospect we don't need to spend near as much time with inputs and since it is not considered an IAR platform no paperwork for us or the client to deal with. ### 50.
