Artie delivers fast, reliable CDC replication from our relational databases, which has made stale or missing data a thing of the past for both customer-facing products and internal products. I’m not overly technical, so I can’t speak to all the features of Artie. As a manager of a small team of business intelligence analysts, what I can speak to is the improvement Artie has made to our pipeline reliability. Prior to Artie, I’d get stakeholders asking about issues with our reporting - something was missing or out-of-date and they wanted to know why. 90% of the time it was a pipeline issue such as a failed procedure that pulls data from our source database to a table BI uses. Issues like this encouraged stakeholders to distrust our reports, diminishing our contribution to the company.

Enter Artie. Reliable replication with straight forward pricing and enough levers to ensure we stay efficient. The product is solid, so if you think Artie could be a fit I’d encourage you to make leap and give them a chance. That’s what I did over a year ago and I’m happy I did. I heard about them from a Hacker News post and checked them out, but they didn’t support our source (SQL Server) at the time. Nevertheless I reached out and met with the founders and they were willing to do the work to make Artie viable. Over the last year we reached out to them about some relatively obscure questions related to our pipeline, and they were more than willing to help us. It’s hard to overstate how nice it is to work with a vendor that actually cares.

As a rapidly growing company we have constant pressure from the business to provide real time data insights to our customers and internal stakeholders; Artie is a solution that allows us to focus on actionable insights, rather than data pipeline management.

We were stalled on several projects while attempting to build the pipelines and hire staff to manage them. Artie has solved those challenges for us masterfully.

Artie "just works", integration is a breeze (less than 15 minutes of work) and the product does a great job at monitoring and alerting on issues with our pipeline. We were amazed at how easy it was to get Artie up and running. In only 15 minutes, we were able to fully replicate and achieve real-time sync between our MongoDB Atlas Cluster and BigQuery Data Warehouse.

The setup flow was really simple yet powerful enough to configure critical parameters such as replication time, schema configuration, etc. Compared to other alternatives like Fivetran or Airbyte, Artie is ideal for fast-growing startups that need quick implementation and low maintenance of their data pipelines.
