**What do you like best about Arduino IDE?**

I like it, really easy. It teaches computer programming with soft circuits to build. The software program also works quite well everywhere, so it's a massive advantage. It's an easy coding program mainly based on C with an amazing reference library "on the very critical project reason."

**What do you dislike about Arduino IDE?**

Organizing a larger company within the Arduino IDE is, without a doubt, hellish, and I switched to the NetBeans plugin for my advanced stuff. Additionally, the reduction in the amount of noise due to the power supply will be substantially favored so that my information is more accurate with the help of improving the material within the circuits. Also, the IDE does not discover the board in the list of ports to be had. When you assemble an application, it reorganizes your code before passing it to the C compiler, so you will often find mysterious compilation errors that reference lines in a temporary document that you cannot see before it is destroyed. It is quite difficult to apply for younger children who have never had contact with programming.

**Recommendations to others considering Arduino IDE:**

In this way, you can have a guide if you wish. It is an incredible region to start while learning Arduino. If you have any kind of background in programming, you will also be top-notch. Books often miss important steps or the program does not work as shown.

**What problems is Arduino IDE solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Some of my university students use Arduino to build devices for tasks where Arduino is quite easy to start with. It is definitely smoother than the "write in Notepad, compile in the command line" method that I've seen for Java. In the way of using the software, I sometimes faced failing problems.

**What do you like best about Arduino IDE?**

Additionally, the language used is mainly based on C or C++, very simple and clean to use. The Student project carried out through this software program can handle complicated algorithms appropriately and is fast. Furthermore, this software includes all the drivers that you may want to apply the unique flavors of Arduino forums. Very suitable for small digital projects, especially for someone who is being introduced to technology.

**What do you dislike about Arduino IDE?**

I wish those variations had been more consistent and had fewer errors. A YouTube video will lead you in the wrong direction. The IDE is quite simple and does what it needs to do. Additionally, the reduction in the amount of noise due to the power supply can be substantially appreciated. To make my information more accurate by improving the structure within the circuits. It crashes from time to time, but other than that, it's ideal.

**Recommendations to others considering Arduino IDE:**

Be careful to use books that teach you, it is a high-quality way for paintings on integrated hardware design, even if you haven't written any code before, you will have many tutorials and could start building tremendous projects in much less than an hour. There are a multitude of amateur initiatives that should not be very intimidating, and you can quickly grasp the most important things. Highly recommended for everyone who wants to start with Arduino. I advise all people who are starting programming and have embedded desires. Ease of use and capabilities.

It is compatible with different forums, which allows me to develop codes for extraordinary platforms that we use in our company. The IDE is a stable "general" that allows me to create software for a wide variety of forums quickly without handling the nuances of each board or the independent IDEs. I work with some controls with Arduino, for example, manipulate the server room enthusiasts and manage the temperature with sensors and relays. Hardware coding. **What do you like best about Arduino IDE?**

Arduino IDE is a simple tool that allows you to enhance Arduino programs with the help provided by an IDE. Format the code to make it simple, and connect with the compatible board to upload the code. In fact, I enjoy how reliable all the coding is on this platform. Everything, from the errors provided to help debug the application to the general functions, just makes for a great experience. It doesn't take much to debug any error and it could be very customizable, from the ability to choose how the fastest information from the Arduino is acquired to what voltage is being carried out. It is also very useful in everyday utility, as I use the BMP 180 add-on to tell me the temperature outside every morning.

**What do you dislike about Arduino IDE?**

On some occasions, it is very gradual, specifically when you want to load a code onto the board. I don't like how small issues, such as the semi-colon at the end of each line, can program an entire malicious code. When deciding on the automatic design feature, you should be able to restore those small errors in your staff. Additionally, reducing the amount of noise due to power supply could be greatly appreciated to make my data more accurate by improving the material within the circuits.

Easy-to-use application to expand Arduino code. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to start with Arduino.

I work on some controls with Arduino, for instance, I control the fans in the server room and manage the temperature with sensors and relays. The application is easy and it really works. From ordinary coding tactics to seeing how hot it is outside, the Arduino is used for many different things within the workplace. We can fulfill our wishes and solve our problems.

**What do you like best about Arduino IDE?**

Arduino IDE is an IDE very similar to Eclipse and NetBeans, specially defined to work with Arduino boards. You can add all the libraries that you needs very easy, including third party libraries, it's fast to do it.
Also this program includes all drivers that you can need to use the different flavors of Arduino boards 

**What do you dislike about Arduino IDE?**

Just it's a problem the speed loading the program, it's compiled in Java and runs over virtual machine, therefore is slower.

It's and helpful program to work with Arduino Code, it's free and include all drivers that you can need.

it is very simple to use i even teach it to kids in school , i have built many robots with it including interface with mobile phone through WiFi and Bluetooth , PC using java to build app interface for mine sweeper mapping   to detect exact position of mine in minesweeper competition

it only doesn't have tutorials on how to read registers and modify them also don't have debugger

Arduino is the programming platform par excellence for open source and open hardware. Ideal for any project that includes microcontroller programming and general hardware based on Arduino. A free and open program, which is very easy to use, and is accessible from the get-go for beginners with basic knowledge of programming in C and C++.

**What do you dislike about Arduino IDE?**

Although it can be used with a wide variety of microcontrollers, it is especially designed for Arduino, so if you use it on other platforms, it requires additional configuration.

Currently, it is being used for sensing atmospheric variables and in radio frequency transmission. In this field, it offers enormous flexibility due to the immense number of low-cost sensors available that are compatible with Arduino, in addition to all the libraries and documentation that are available. **What do you like best about Arduino IDE?**

The best thing is the versatility it offers students to develop their own programs to implement on the board and microcontroller Arduino Uno or similar. Multiple projects can be made adapted to the skills of each of the levels of secondary education.
We have made a greenhouse with an Arduino 1 board, a light sensor, and a motor that operated a fan. From Arduino, we have programmed the sensors and actuators. The program allows for pre-compilation to detect syntax errors. Once there are no errors, the object code obtained from the source is transferred to the Arduino ONE board via USB.

**What do you dislike about Arduino IDE?**

It is quite difficult to use for younger children who have never had contact with programming. Fortunately, there are add-ons like Scratch4Arduino that make this task easier through very simple graphical interfaces for the little ones.

For the little ones, combine with S4ARDUINO as it will greatly facilitate the learning of students with less exposure to software development.

The amount of documentation is good. Not only is there a lot of official documentation, there is also a lot of user-submitted information in the discussion groups.

There are very few debugging options. For example, most IDEs allow breakpoints and variable view options, but not the Arduino IDE.

**What do you like best about Arduino IDE?**

Is it very simple to program on the interface and load the code into the Arduino. In addition, it is very simple to add additional libraries from github or from the library provided by the Arduino IDE itself. It has a very good compilation method, which lets you know if you have some sort of mistake. Also, you can upload your code to a variety of different boards.

**What do you dislike about Arduino IDE?**

From time to time the app crashes. You need to create a folder to save a file. Also, sometimes the code won't upload to the board, which might be resolved by restarting the board or the computer. In addition, the IDE does not find the board on the list of available ports.

**Recommendations to others considering Arduino IDE:**

If you ever need help while working on your project, you can always google your needs and you might find a similar project. That way, you can have a guide in case you need it. Also, you can check the basic code packages that can be found in the IDE for some help as well.

Very good for developing prototypes from scratch and there is a wide range of boards you can use depending on the requirements of the projects.

**What do you like best about Arduino IDE?**

Arduino IDE is a light weight application which allows you to work with a wide range of boards. It has a very simple interface and simple programming language i.e. C. One of the best things that I find about this IDE is the libraries. They really help a great deal.

Debugging becomes a difficult task because of the absence of line numbers. This is quite irritating at times.

My team uses this IDE for implementing many of the IOT projects. The sketches can be saved and shared which can be reviewed by others as well.

**What do you like best about Arduino IDE?**

I enjoy the ease of use of the code editor, compiler, and loader.  The Arduino IDE allows developers to build software (using 3rd party libraries), compile the program code, and deploy to the microcontroller.  The IDE also provides a logger to receive text logging to display console logging, which is invaluable for troubleshooting.

**What do you dislike about Arduino IDE?**

At times it's a bit slow when pushing new code to each board.  I cannot be certain if this is a limitation of the software or the board, or even the processor of the loading computer.

**Recommendations to others considering Arduino IDE:**

If you know how to code, particularly in C/C++, this Arduino IDE will be a cinch for you.  If you have any sort of background in programming, you'll be fine too.  There are plenty of literature and online tutorials for this product and the Arduino family.

Our company creates software and I am a developer that is looking to add microcontroller IoT to our software products.  I use the Arduino IDE exclusively to build and test software for the devices.  The IDE is a solid "standard" that allows me to create software for a wide variety of boards quickly without dealing with the nuances of each board or separate IDE's.

Easy code push to the circuits on click of a button.
Run time and compile time errors.
Pushes the code to circuits only if it is error free.
Easy to connect and write codes for different types of devices and FTDI's using board manager.

It is very slow compared to other software like Eclipse Arduino.
Although its an IDE, there is no debugging features.
Although its an IDE, there is no intellisense, which is very useful for even a small-to-medium scale project.

Remotely controlling devices connected to same network within a building.
Logging data to a server without using huge CPU towers and display/monitors.

**What do you like best about Arduino IDE?**

It is a very simple and easy to use software.
Very good for small electronic projects especially for someone who is just getting introducted to technology.
IT is capable of doing complex algorithms as well and is really fast.
It has a very user friendly interface and the support for the software is great.
There are a lot of online videos so it is easy to pick up from there.

**What do you dislike about Arduino IDE?**

It sometime takes a lot of time to compile and have seen it crash sometimes.
It rarely detects the arduino board and have to reset it multiple times before it can identify it.

**What do you like best about Arduino IDE?**

The online community around Arduino is what makes it the best.  There are so many libraries created by users online that allow you to accomplish virtually any project.  It's a breeze to implement additional software filters, timers, integrate sensors, and program screens thanks to work that has been done my previous users.  And the intuitive coding system makes it easy to create new features on your own and share them with others.  The boards are super high quality and there are a wide variety available depending on your project needs.  Great for beginners and with enough features to satisfy the experts!

**What do you dislike about Arduino IDE?**

There's always a new version of the arduino IDE and I often find that an older version works better for connecting to some boards...I wish these versions were more consistent and had fewer bugs.  

**Recommendations to others considering Arduino IDE:**

Try it out!  There's plenty of beginner projects that don't have to be super intimidating, and you'll catch on quickly for the larger stuff!  It's not just for work, it can be for fun too!

**What problems is Arduino IDE solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Arduino to jumpstart and experiment with new product designs, and even build prototype units for benchtop and clinical testing.  It's easy to make a proof of concept with an arduino in a short amount of time.  Even though they are pricier than using standalone microcontrollers, the breadth of features and ease of use makes them great for a start up trying new things.

**What do you like best about Arduino IDE?**

I really enjoy how straightforward all the coding is on this platform. Everything from the presented errors to help debug the app to just the general functions just makes a lot of sense. It doesn't take much to debug any mistakes and is very customizable from the ability to choose how fast data is aquired from the arduino to what voltage is being applied. Ity is also very useful in day to day application as I use the BMP 180 add on to tell me the temperature it is outside every morning.

**What do you dislike about Arduino IDE?**

I dislike how little things such as the semi colon at the end of each line will bug up an entire code. When selecting auto format function it should be able to fix those small mistakes on its own. Also, reducing the amount of noise due to the power source would be greatly appreciated to make my data more accurate by improving the material in the circuitry.

From normal coding procedures to seeing how warm it is outside, the arduino is used for many different things in the workplace. We can find almost any add on to suit our needs and solve our problems.

Arduino IDE is a great, lightweight IDE to get any new Arduino developer up and running. There are few bells and whistles, and the fact that it's free means that the barrier to entry is relatively low. One of my favorite features is the Serial Monitor, which makes debugging projects much easier. Additionally, there is a fairly active community of users who can help with any issues you may encounter while writing Arduino code with this IDE.

Line numbers! This IDE desperately needs line numbers!

This is a great place to start when learning Arduino. Try to pressure the developers to add line numbers, though!

Arduino IDE is easy and simple - ideal for a begining of a jurney to IoT world. It's easily configurable and you need to set only few things to start working with your new microcontroler. You don't necessarily have to buy original Arduino board. Beacause Arduino IDE is modular and have strong community support you can download board definition and use microcontroler like ESP8266 or ESP32. It have all the based libraries and hudge database of external libraries that can be download by a click of a button.

Editor is very simple, to simple to be used with big, multifile project. It's missing basic functionalities of bigger commercial IDE like syntax auto-completion and good syntax highlighting. Your own library management could be painful. No git support build in.

The bundled examples are very helpful. The community around the software is always nice and helpful. I think it's probably one of the most supportive communities that I know. The software also runs pretty much everywhere, so that's a big plus.

The interface is a minimalist approach to whats needed for development tools. I understand that it falls more toward the hobbyist side, but if the goal is ease of use, make it easy to use with other IDEs as well. Both Jetbrains and VisualStudio offer great tools for working with C, why not build tools that are compatible with these?

Its the right tool for certain kinds of jobs. Outside of that, its just fun to play around with.

I've used Arduino for several kinds of different custom automation and integrating with hardware. Using this system over a $200 setup saved the department about $170 per install (Arduinos being about $30). You can also find off-brands for cheaper, but i don't mind supporting the creators.

The arduino IDE is great for beginners in embedded programming. It has sufficient resources for those who need to program and not get lost amid so many things. The programmed can choose the device or board that will program, can choose the port that will use, among other benefits. In addition, the language used is based on C / C ++ very simple and easy to use. IDE brings a series of ready-made examples for the person to use and already has many libraries ready to go using any extra components.

In the arduino IDE there are two features missing: The first is that the debug that does not exist, to simulate the debug I need to create add snippets of code in the programming. The second is the identation of the IDE which is very bad, very close to the guide line. These are the only two problems I saw in Arduino.

I recommend to anyone who is starting an embedded programming and needs ease of use and features. In addition people who do not want to spend too much, an IDE is free and an open project. Great for anyone looking for ease and simplicity in their projects.

**What do you like best about Arduino IDE?**

Arduino makes things easy.  Like, really easy.  You don't need to know that you're compiling C and getting it through the Atmel toolchain; you just hit "upload" and select your serial port and it works.  It's' fantastic for beginners, and can be used to teach programming and electronics to people with no experience.  The built-in libraries are useful and allow you to easily use common components (servos, LCD screens) without learning the details of the protocol yourself.

**What do you dislike about Arduino IDE?**

Arduino makes it easy, but it comes at a cost.  The IDE makes it very difficult to program anything advanced.  It is difficult or impossible to use local libraries in a file (they have to be installed on the user's libraries folder, so no portable repos).  When you compile a program, it rearranges your code before passing it to the C compiler, so you'll often come across mysterious compile errors that reference lines in a temp file that you can't see before it's destroyed.  Organizing a larger project in the Arduino IDE is absolutely hellish, and I switched over to a NetBeans plugin for my advanced stuff.

Great for teaching intro programming things or medium usage.  Once you're familiar with the platform, awful for very large or complicated projects or anything with more than a few header files.

We use Arduino to teach kids programming and electronics.  The IDE is an integral part of that, because it gets kids using a "real" programming language, but hides away some of the messier details of compiler flags, etc.  For that purpose, I think it's a good choice.  It's certainly gentler than the "write in Notepad, compile on command-line" approach that I've seen taken with Java.
