ARCore is primarily used for Augmented Reality app development. It helps enable the sensor environment in your mobile phone, allowing interaction with the outside world through its capabilities. ARCore's movement tracking uses the camera to identify objects. Its intelligence lies in understanding movement and position through the camera, building its own objects, and determining orientation. Using ARCore, we can even identify points like chairs, tables, ground, etc., including the lighting of the surrounding atmosphere. Example: If you place a jar full of water on a table, move around the room, and then return to the table, the annotations will remain where you left them, tracking motion, detecting the plane of the object (2D/3D), and estimating light intensity in a particular room or area. Device supportability is one of the issues with ARCore; it doesn't support all devices, so an Android Emulator is necessary for testing. Specific devices are required to run ARCore. The main devices that support ARCore are Google Pixel, Samsung S8 and above, etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like the latest instant placement, cloud anchors and environmental lighting features Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It works only on AR core enabled devices Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like the compatibility. It is really easy to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I don't like less documentation. Difficulty while integrating with other game engines. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

There are three best things that ARCore does are Motion Tracking for checking the change in location, environment understanding and since light is an important part, ARCore comes with a light estimation which estimates the current light condition. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
ARCore only supports specific devices like android 7 or later version, which leaves with no choice of using Android Emulator. This is an experimental piece of software and is subject to change often. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

- Easy to use and light to handle.
- ARCore provides awesome 3D models with animation for surface detection.
- Using 3D model functionality, you can render 3D models onto the screen.
- It offers many features and functions.
- Very user-friendly and provides many simple ways to use it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
- Sometimes ARCore runs slower and asks you to repeat the process multiple times.
- Compared to ARKit, ARCore does not provide some iOS functionalities. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Freely available open to use and backed up by a very large community, ARCore is a long-time player in the field of delivering immersive experiences to the user. ARCore has grown and taken a sharp turn after the last big release, which turned with Camera API to click photos and use 2D images into live scenes. Scene viewers, which account for providing AR experience straight from websites. Environment HDR and light sensing works similarly to ARKit's environment sensing, providing a much more realistic experience, decreasing chances of obstruction, thus pushing the scene to look much more realistic to the user. Even though ARCore is freely available, the support for this SDK on mobile devices is growing slowly. ARCore supports devices from Android 9, and there is a list of devices it supports, which restricts its use for users who don't own the latest mobile phones. ARCore has been an old player in the AR industry and a competitor to ARKit, covering almost all aspects of Immersive Reality. Anchor-based target detection and environment sensing are just a few of its features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
As of now, I don't see any bad features in ARCore. It's going in the right direction, although there are certain restrictions with the devices that support ARCore, as its minimum requirement is Android 9. However, the list of supported mobiles is growing steadily. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

* Best Community for help
* Good Documentation with unity examples
* Fast rendering and deployment on android and iOS.
* Use of anchors to place the 3D object into the real world with scaling and detecting the environment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Support for android devices with at least android 9 and also very few devices fall into that category for now, it's increasing day by day. Also, ARCore faces certain problems when it comes to handling many 3D objects at once. Not sure if it's the problem with mobile devices, rendering, or the ARCore itself but considering the fact of using the same device with Vuforia and Augment, I can't think of the device being faulty.
