Approov offered a quick to deploy solution which secured our API calls, and allowed us to securely send keys to attested instances of our app on devices. **What do you dislike about Approov?** No major complaints about Approov. We would like to have more data from the successful and failed attestations. **What problems is Approov solving and how is that benefiting you?** Approov secures our mobile API endpoints by validating app integrity and preventing credential stuffing and bot attacks. ### 2. It is cross platform so it offers solutions for both Android and iOS. You can piecemeal create a solution for Android. But you still have iOS to figure out. One single solution for all mobile is huge. Being able to ensure only genuine, untampered apps can communicate with our servers is great piece of mind. Our first mobile Pen Test after implementing Approov was passed with flying colors. The security team was quite impressed with how the server stopped communicating with a rooted device. When testing against MITM, they were impressed that the client stopped communicating with the server. Integration is easy and straightforward. The documentation is clear, and the support team is incredibly responsive. Several times I had someone from Approov walk me through specific code samples and configuration changes. Within days, we had Approov up and running. When we've had issues with certificates or production issues, Approov was very quick to respond and very helpful. Above and beyond what I would expect. **What do you dislike about Approov?** There has been no issues with Approov. At all. **What problems is Approov solving and how is that benefiting you?** Ensuring that connections made to our servers are by known clients that we created. Ensuring that those clients are not modified to do something evil. ### 3. Our Developers had a really easy time setting it up and it works as expected! We had our product audited by a pen-test team and Approov protected us and passed the test with flying colors! **What do you dislike about Approov?** There's not much I dislike. Due to its simplicity, they haven't really managed to mess up the experience at any level. **What problems is Approov solving and how is that benefiting you?** We're a gaming company who manage real funds for people, so security is very important for us! Approov has managed to secure the communication between the client app and our API. ### 4. After a trickier integration and their support, we've had no issues with self service which makes any problem solving or occasional tasks super fast! They are very responsive, but more often than not, I find I dont need to reach out and I can handle it myself! There is now even an Expo plugin making integration even easier. **What do you dislike about Approov?** Some of the integrations at the time of us adding Approov were primarily targeting native or react-native directly rather than tailor-made for Expo. HOWEVER, this is no longer the case as there is an Expo plugin. **What problems is Approov solving and how is that benefiting you?** Approov helps us ensure our app is being run on verified devices and gives us peace of mind. We can worry less about side-loading and other exploits. ### 5. Mobile App Security Made Easy **Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Mansi S. | Software Engineer TDP-ll, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) **Reviewed Date:** September 22, 2023 **What do you like best about Approov?** Few things that I found best in approov is it's scalability that it can handle wide range of traffic based on user needs, in-dept report on my app's traffic and real-time threat detection. **What do you dislike about Approov?** The only thing I disliked about Approov is its cost because I work in a startup and it's a bit costly for smaller organisations like us and also it can only run on iOS only . **What problems is Approov solving and how is that benefiting you?** As in the current scenario, most apps are vulnerable to lots of threats that can damage a person's or an organization's reputation.
