What do you like best about Appium?

Appium is based on Selenium which is an HTTP protocol by Google designed to automate browsers. The idea is actually very nice as a automating an app, specially a webview-based one, isn't so different in terms of required APIs from automating a browser. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Slowness of Selenium and Appium combination, Eventhough it provides methods for openCv, those requrire complex installations. Scrolling methods or swipe methods break with every iOS update Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Appium?

The best thing is owned own host and gives me the ability to choose button id. Now I can easily select app is or button or and if I don't want to use button is then I can use XPath as well which will more easy to write in coding. I am generally very happy with the new update. What do you dislike about Appium?

It acquires a lot of space which eventually leads to slow down my computer to use. Even though I use mac book but still it makes my mac slow to death some time. Some time logs do not help to find out where I was wrong then I have to randomly search on google to find a solution. What do you like best about Appium?

Appium is open source mobile automation tool, works for native,hybrid and mobile web applications and supports ios, android and firefox OS flatforms. we can write code in any language supported by webdriver. The only cross-platform test supporting tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Appium?

The configuration for IOS is little complicated compared to Android. The appium is very slow with emulators and simulators. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Appium?

Being an open source, Appium is very helpful while automating mobile web, hybrid applications on iOS mobile and native. -- No need to compile and modify the application each time during automation. -- User can choose its own port where he want to start the server for testing -- User is not bounded to any language and framework for writing and running the test cases. In windows there are two way to install the Appium application either via Terminal or via downloading the Appium installer. Some time user has to face the version mismatching issue as there is no tracking system during installation that you have already installed Appium via Terminal or App. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Appium?

Appium is a tool used for automation for mobile devices. I use appium daily in my office use. Appium makes your job for Automation easy. You can have see the dimension of element, id, xpath, logs.

The best thing about Appium is you can take screenshots for the emulator and you can launch emulator for iOS and Android both. The other thing is you can add more than one simulator. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Appium?

The least helpful and most annoying thing of Appium is some times you have to restart the appium because sometimes you can't find the element and it loses the connection to the emulator.

Sometimes it doesn't recognize the keypad (keyboard) so we have to quit the application and then you will again be happy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
