Justin was very informative and always reachable when we had problems during the UAT and onboarding. **What do you dislike about Apparity?** It would be better if the comparison feature can be run on just one sheet instead of the whole workbook. For larger files the software lags and would take several hours. **What problems is Apparity solving and how is that benefiting you?** EUCA Management ### 2. The ability for the users to review spreadsheets and review them is helping us intergrate the new process easily. **What do you dislike about Apparity?** The grouping feature where the software will automatically group a file based off which department was scanned first can be a bit tedious. **What problems is Apparity solving and how is that benefiting you?** Apparity is helping us invenory our EUCs and determine the risk that the bank has from EUCs. ### 3. They are always willing to look into problems and help our team with responding to others when needed. **What do you dislike about Apparity?** The in-website analytics are not extremely useful and can be clunky or difficult to navigate. It would be more useful if there were abilities to start from scratch and create your own analytics there instead of having to manipulate the pre made data reports. **What problems is Apparity solving and how is that benefiting you?** Apparity helps us to manage and catalogue the UDA inventory. They also help us when something goes wrong and we need to troubleshoot with a user, like when they receive an Apparity error message. ### 6. As a business user I am pleasantly surprised that this tool exists to fill a critical gap in control functionality when in comes to EUCs and EUC management. My experience with Apparity support -- be it regular monthly calls or ad-hoc support -- has been outstanding as well. I look forward to leveraging the full capabilities of the software for our business needs. **What do you dislike about Apparity?** Nothing at this time - I'm still in the process of learning all the features of the software. **What problems is Apparity solving and how is that benefiting you?** Apparity helps us in compliance and governance functions around EUCs. We found that compared to their competitors (some of which we had worked with in the past) we developed much better relationships and could easily connect with folks to troubleshoot or just talk through how to enhance a particular process on an EUC that had a lot of manual intervention baked into it together with the business line owners. **What do you dislike about Apparity?** Transitioning from old to Apparity was tough as we learned that the minimum data requirements we were collecting on our old EUC tool were not the right ones. Working with the SMEs at Apparity really helped elevate our EUC program overall. **What problems is Apparity solving and how is that benefiting you?** Apparity is helping us address our EUC risk program and ongoing change monitoring efforts. From a change management perspective we have a much more robust EUC risk management program and have a better understanding of our more complex EUCs that are relied upon accross the enterprise that did not have this level of monitoring in place in the past and in some cases were very eye opening to the business themselves. ### 8. Apparity makes it easy by calling out only what has changed for review, and allows you to filter out what you would consider "noise" which allows your reviewers to easily sign off on the changes and get back to work on their day jobs. It also comes with some basic version control if, for some reason you need to roll back to a known, working version of your spreadsheets. Overall this tool fills a gap in the control environment without too much overhead, which lets your first line do their jobs while still mitigating risks. In addition, the customer support has been fantastic, going above and beyond a traditional vendor experience to ensure a seamless deployment and operational phase. **What do you dislike about Apparity?** While the tool works great most of the time, when it doesn't work, you'll need the vendor to support and troubleshoot errors as this is a niche tool and you may need to learn as you go. Don't expect to be able to go out and hire someone with experience to support the software. **Recommendations to others considering Apparity:** The stand-out feature for Apparity is their ability to filter "noise" (and to let you define what you consider to be noise) in the change logs. This feature makes it stand out among its competitors **What problems is Apparity solving and how is that benefiting you?** With Apparity you are able to keep an inventory of user developed software, which allows you to know where your risks are and determine if they are within your risk appetite. Once onboarded, you can keep a change log using the tool, and roll back to previous versions if necessary, either to resolve a production issue, or for a quick turnaround in the case of an audit ### 10. The teams have been great with helping with updating configurations and streamlining to our business' needs. **What do you dislike about Apparity?** I believe the tool needs an API to help with enhanced reporting with other tools like Tableau or Alteryx. Additionally there needs to be better configurations for users to view their files in the tool, as well as a attestation/affirmation module that can bulk files in many different names, not just by user names by specific field. **Recommendations to others considering Apparity:** Recommendations above. **What problems is Apparity solving and how is that benefiting you?** We have solved our inventorying issue with Apparity, our change control with our files and backup and a greater line of sight.
