"Claude vs Human: Where Do Things Really Stand in the AI Revolution"
4/5
What do you like best about Claude Code?

Claude code is easy to use, it is very easily integrated into VS Code by using a simple extension and can be used in a general chat plus used from console. Claude is in a phase where it can write boilerplate code very easily and very fast, but it can't think for you, it can't be an actual engineer in that sense when you are thinking from a software development perspective. The pricing is okay, it is affordable but there can definitely be better prices I feel. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Claude Code?

It is nowhere near as good as advertised. To get the most out of it, you have to know how to use it. People think it can completely replace a software engineer. As someone who has used it, it can't and can at times mess up the simplest of commands. You basically have to keep it on a tight leash. It does help me overall and reduces redundant work I have to do. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Claude Code: Transforming Enterprise Software Development with AI-Powered Engineering"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Claude Code?

What I appreciate most about Claude Code is its ability to operate as an intelligent development partner rather than just a coding assistant. It understands complex codebases, works across multiple files, and supports the entire development lifecycle, from architecture and implementation to debugging, refactoring, testing, and documentation. As a Managing Partner with over 20 years of experience in enterprise data management and technology transformation, I particularly value its ability to translate business requirements into practical, maintainable technical solutions. Its terminal integration, autonomous workflows, and extensibility through MCP servers, skills, and hooks make it especially powerful for complex enterprise environments. Claude Code significantly accelerates development while allowing me to maintain architectural control and focus on business value rather than repetitive implementation tasks. For me, its greatest strength is combining deep technical capabilities with contextual understanding and a high degree of automation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Claude Code?

While Claude Code is an extremely powerful development tool, there are several areas where I see room for improvement, particularly in complex enterprise environments. My biggest concern is context management during long development sessions. As projects grow in complexity, maintaining architectural consistency and retaining critical decisions across multiple sessions can become challenging. This sometimes requires additional documentation, carefully structured instructions, and manual oversight. Another limitation is the transparency of token consumption, usage limits, and costs. More granular monitoring, predictable resource allocation, and better control over model selection and reasoning effort would be valuable. Autonomous execution is impressive, but it still requires supervision. Claude Code can occasionally make unnecessary changes, introduce inconsistencies, or implement solutions that work technically but do not fully align with the intended enterprise architecture. I would also welcome stronger native capabilities for managing MCP servers, skills, hooks, permissions, and reusable configurations across multiple projects and development teams. Overall, these limitations do not outweigh the substantial productivity benefits. However, improvements in context persistence, cost transparency, architectural consistency, and enterprise governance would make Claude Code even more valuable for professional software development. "Best-in-Class Agentic Workflow for Code Development"
5/5
What do you like best about Claude Code?

Claude code has the best agentic workflow for code development. Also the recent models like Opus 5 and Fable are the best in the industry. I no longer need to write code I just need to orchestrate the agents and keep a watch on them and they do all the work for me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Claude Code?

It's higher usage plans like Max are bit expensive for an individual and when using the pro plan the usage limit gets exhausted pretty fast. Also it would be better to have a sound notification setting which would play a sound when claude required some input from the user otherwise one has to keep staring at the screen till their input is needed. "Claude Code: pay to waste time, tokens, and lose control of your own project"
0/5
What do you like best about Claude Code?

absolutely nothing from the sea.from and from the sea.from Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Claude Code?

Claude Code respects the instructions and the requested scope very poorly. Even when I clearly specify to only touch a specific part of the project, it can analyze or perform actions that I never requested. The worst part is the quota consumption: in my experience, it has already consumed about 95% of my available usage in just a few minutes, sometimes around 3 minutes, for a supposedly limited task. It is necessary to constantly monitor what it does to prevent it from going in the wrong direction. This leads to a waste of time, excessive token consumption, and makes the cost of the service difficult to justify. Additionally, the support is extremely difficult to contact when a billing or consumption issue arises. For a paid tool intended for developers, I find this level of control and reliability frankly insufficient. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A Can’t-Live-Without Coding Copilot for Website Projects"
5/5
What do you like best about Claude Code?

I use Claude Code on website projects, including the Gemini worktops work. I've run it as a plugin in Visual Studio and also straight inside the Claude software, and both work well. I wouldn't go a day without it now — I barely write any code myself any more. It just gets stuck into the project and keeps moving, which is exactly what you want when you're juggling sites. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Claude Code?

Switching between the Visual Studio plugin and the Claude app means remembering which session has which context, which can be a bit fiddly on busy days. Outside of that, not much — once it's in the project it does the job. A smoother hand-off between the IDE plugin and the standalone Claude side would make an already strong tool even better. "Powerful, Prompt-Savvy Assistant—But Too Eager to Act"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Claude Code?

I like that Claude Code understands my prompts and comes up with ideas close to what I want. It gives me useful ideas and hints about next steps, and helps present and improve my ideas. Compared with similar tools like Codex in ChatGPT, I feel it can do more and take the action I want. It also handles projects and analysis better, and I found it much easier to set up than ChatGPT. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Claude Code?

Sometimes Claude Code is too proactive and starts a follow-up for a client without asking me for specific details first. For more important actions, I’d like it to ask me questions and confirm what I want before it proceeds. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A coding assistant that actually works inside my project"
5/5
What do you like best about Claude Code?

It works inside my actual project — reads the whole codebase, edits real files, runs my build and git commands in the terminal, not just spitting out snippets. On Windows with a custom WordPress theme it follows my BEM/SCSS conventions across sessions, and the custom skills I built for repetitive studio work save me hours. It verifies its own changes before saying "done." Daily driver now. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Claude Code?

It's Mac-first — on Windows some skills and tooling assume macOS paths, so I hit the occasional snag. The top model gets expensive on long sessions, so I watch scope. Permission prompts are good for safety but interrupt flow until you tune what's auto-allowed. And it can be confidently wrong, so I review anything important before shipping — it's a tool you drive, not autopilot Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great VSCode Plugin Integration for Terminal, Git, and Model Selection"
5/5
What do you like best about Claude Code?

It can interact with other plugins in VSCode. I can run commands in the terminal and check Git commits as well.

As the web version has all models and effort to decide the right cost for your task.

The quality of the code it creates is fantastic. Specially on Opus and Fable models. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Claude Code?

The way file changes are handled feels awkward. Compared with Copilot, it’s less comfortable to review what changed. In Copilot, you can see changes block by block and decide whether to keep them, modify them, or remove them, and you can do the same at the full-file level. In Claude code, I don’t have that option; the only way I’ve found is to check the Git changes.

(If there is another way… if there is one, it definitely isn’t intuitive.) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Claude Code: Powerful and Seamless, Despite Branch Challenges"
5/5
What do you like best about Claude Code?

I find Claude Code very powerful for solving milestone-level problems, and I love its ability to investigate and debug in local container environments. It’s incredibly easy to set up, almost with a single line to install it, and it feels like having multiple teams that you can send to work with just a simple console command. The MCP integration in other tools and brainstorming with Claude is really effective. I appreciate the feature of creating detailed specs and plans and then turning them into milestones. I also like how it can translate tech talk into something that project managers and support teams can understand. Lastly, it’s a more powerful alternative to our previous tool, Zencoder, with full agentic integration instead of just code assistant or autocomplete. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Claude Code?

Working with worktrees and branch blocking in Claude Code is kind of annoying. When collaborating with multiple agent teams, moving changes into a shared release branch often causes issues. A branch might not switch back to the feature branch, which then blocks another merge, and that's frustrating. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Repository-Wide Context That Supercharges Debugging, Refactoring, and Multi-File Changes"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Claude Code?

The most valuable feature is its repository-wide context awareness. When working on automation frameworks or backend services, Claude Code can understand how different modules interact and suggest changes that fit naturally into the existing codebase rather than generating isolated code fragments. The biggest benefit is productivity. It significantly reduces the time spent understanding unfamiliar code, debugging complex issues, and implementing new features, allowing me to focus more on system design, testing, and delivering high-quality software. What I like most about Claude Code is its ability to understand an entire codebase and make meaningful code changes instead of just suggesting isolated snippets. It excels at repository-level reasoning, making it especially useful for debugging, refactoring, and implementing features across multiple files. Excellent understanding of large, multi-file projects and complex architectures. Strong reasoning for debugging, refactoring, and code reviews. Generates clean, maintainable code that follows existing project patterns. Helps explain unfamiliar code and architecture with clear reasoning. Reduces repetitive development tasks while maintaining context across conversations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Claude Code?

While Claude Code is one of the strongest AI coding tools I've used, there are a few areas where I think it could improve. It can occasionally make broad refactoring changes that require careful review before merging. For very large repositories, response time can increase as more context is processed. It sometimes needs additional prompting to strictly follow an existing project's coding standards or architectural patterns. Generated code still requires validation for edge cases, performance, and security. Integration with some development tools and CI/CD workflows could be more seamless.
