## Anjuta Reviews
  ### 1. Great product to fulfil the programming need.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Animesh M. | Software Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 20, 2023

**What do you like best about Anjuta?**

Best thing about Anjuta is it completes my code and highlight it which makes my code visual appealing.

**What do you dislike about Anjuta?**

There is no documentation in Anjuta about integration for Glade to make a GUI application.

**What problems is Anjuta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For coding in C/C++ it is the best tool. The flow in Anjuta is excellent, its Autotool is great.

  ### 2. Simplifying Complex Code with Anjuta

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Laura M. | Chief Operating Officer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 11, 2023

**What do you like best about Anjuta?**

It allows me to edit code by providing a robust code editor with features like auto-completion, code highlighting, and source code control. It also enables me to debug code with its integrated debugger, which makes it easy for me to track down and fix bugs in my code.

**What do you dislike about Anjuta?**

Some time it becomes slow when working on large, complex codes; this happened to me when my internet connection was weak, but it runs smoothly on my computer's older hardware, and I am satisfied with using it.

**What problems is Anjuta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solved my problem of a cumbersome and time-consuming development process by providing a streamlined and intuitive environment for C and C++ development; it has significantly improved my workflow.

  ### 3. Anjuta reliable and easy to use tool

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alejandro A. | Desarrollador de juegos HTML5, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 17, 2022

**What do you like best about Anjuta?**

I love Anjuta because of its user-friendly panel interface that can be organized as the user likes, the large number of plugins that can be dynamically enabled or disabled, and the orderly way that files can be kept, all this definitely makes this IDE one of the best.

**What do you dislike about Anjuta?**

One of the points against Anjuta would be that many times the file may be incomplete and this causes the content to be truncated when copying the file and it has to be downloaded again checking that the process has finished correctly.

**What problems is Anjuta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

At some point we benefited from the great advantages that Anjuta offered us, such as the freedom to reuse the code, the glade interface design and the two code editors that, although they are equally functional, can be used indistinctly.

  ### 4. Anjuta- a holistic IDE for GNOME

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nikhil J. | Sr. Cloud Architect | AI/ML Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 22, 2022

**What do you like best about Anjuta?**

Quite helpful IDE is all respects. File Manager, helpful and accelerated plugins. Pre commit hooks and linters , editor-related fetures among many more

**What do you dislike about Anjuta?**

The project management part of Anjuta can be sometimes overburdening and should ideally be handled seaprately.

**Recommendations to others considering Anjuta:**

Super helpful IDE in all respects. Takes the heavy lifting from developers and Architects.

**What problems is Anjuta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helping developer community in better understanding and management of their code using all IDE-based features.

  ### 5. Ease of use yet powerful

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Akash S. | Senior Analyst, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 29, 2022

**What do you like best about Anjuta?**

I have used netbeans eclipse and multiple other IDEs its hard to compare them as all of them have thier pros and cons. Though i would suggest you to make Anjuta your first choice.

**What do you dislike about Anjuta?**

Not that I have came across and nothing thats missing here you get a bunch of plugins to offer. The slowness is expected and is seen in almost all the IDEs its not basically related some perticular IDE.

**What problems is Anjuta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are doing our regular coding using Anjuta we can see how it has speeded up the process of development by the very less amount that it takes to start and compile and run the code.

  ### 6. One of the good IDEs available in Linux

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Harikrishnan K. | Software Architect, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 15, 2022

**What do you like best about Anjuta?**

The main attraction is that it is integrated directly to Gnome and not written on top of any other frameworks. So the UI is sleek and smooth and very well compatible with Gnome, unlike let's say Eclipse. Also, it is clutter free.

**What do you dislike about Anjuta?**

It doesn't have much of the integrations like Eclipse. I used it mainly for C coding. But it would have been nice if it could include Java, Python and Web language support.

**What problems is Anjuta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main benefit is that it is lightweight. Eclipse is heavy and won't be able to start in low-end systems. We used to debug in Raspberrypi for some POC projects.

  ### 7. The best IDE for linux systems

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Yash K. | Co-Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 26, 2021

**What do you like best about Anjuta?**

Typically IDEs are resources consuming and bloated pieces of software, but when I started using Anjuta, I was amazed at how light the product felt. It is lightweight, does the job quickly, and is pretty intuitive. Also support for not just a variety of languages like C, C++, Python, Java, Vala, and Javascript, but also pre-made templates for a wide variety of projects like Python-Django projects, Java-applets, and C header files.

**What do you dislike about Anjuta?**

The only thing today's programmers can be irritated about is the very old-looking UI of the program. But do not judge this book by its cover. Though it might look a software made for your grandpa, it is extremely powerful and does its job very nicely. Also, I would have loved to see Anjuta on Windows and Mac and not just on Linux.

**Recommendations to others considering Anjuta:**

If you are a Linux user and are a web and application developer Anjuta is the best IDE you could lay your hands on.

**What problems is Anjuta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have created Django projects, C apps, and also a few Java applets. I would have used this for Javascript as well if Anjuta had inbuilt support for HTML and CSS. I love the fact that it covers almost all my programming languages and is the go-to editor when I am developing on Linux.

  ### 8. Amazing Software

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 13, 2022

**What do you like best about Anjuta?**

Honestly, I liked how it was very helpful in trying to get started in my C++ development.

**What do you dislike about Anjuta?**

I thought that the Ui could be improved, so the user feels more comfortable using it.

**What problems is Anjuta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The problems Anjunta is helping me solve right now is just learning the language in general.

  ### 9. Use it only for developing GTK+ applications

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Telecommunications | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 23, 2022

**What do you like best about Anjuta?**

Anjuta is an open-source IDE built by GNOME.
It has strong support for building GTK+ cross-platform applications.

**What do you dislike about Anjuta?**

Not actively developed. Check the last release.
There are many IDEs which can easily outrun Anjuta in terms of features.

**What problems is Anjuta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps in building cross-platform UI applications using GTK+ toolkit.

  ### 10. Lightweight and User friendly - worth giving it a go!

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 02, 2021

**What do you like best about Anjuta?**

The UI is pretty simple and intuitive with everything easy to find. I have not used all the project templates however I assume that they are a great way to get started. I have mainly used Anjuta for Java projects while I was first starting and studying software programming. I found Anjuta useful then as it was great for quickly building and also pointing out syntax errors and so on. It was also a great way to quickly spin up projects if I wanted to try out an idea or a spike.

**What do you dislike about Anjuta?**

I find it difficult at times to find the correct keyboard shortcut, especially ones that have to do with navigating windows or opening/focusing on the terminal. The shortcuts to navigate files are fine, but I would definitely recommend trying to use the shortcuts as much as possible so having a read through the user guide is a must. It would be great if the ability to point out commonly used shortcuts was added to Anjuta so if you manually clicked on something it could let you know for next time what the best shortcut to perform that action is.

**Recommendations to others considering Anjuta:**

I'd recommend trying it out and once you get the hang of the shortcuts it will most likely significantly improve your development speed. If you're using a linux machine, using Anjuta is worth it.

**What problems is Anjuta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Anjuta is a good IDE for those using linux and its a great lightweight way to get the benefits of an IDE (syntax highlighting, easier to build projects, etc). I've mostly used it for Java projects but would be curious to see how it works with other languages. I used Anjuta when I was first starting out as a programmer and was learning Java at university. At the time, I thought it was a great addition to my workflow as it helped with debugging and building.

So far, so good. I didn't face any major problems with it. Working properly

**What do you like best about Anjuta?**

It shows files as tab formate is very good. It supports Java, C++, Python, and other languages that I like most.

**What do you dislike about Anjuta?**

UI design looks much older when you compare to any other IDE for development.

**What problems is Anjuta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are developing Java bases apps and doing server-level development work.

  ### 13. Used in school and out for programming work

An IDE worth exploring if you're looking for new options, I recommend it to anyone who asks.
