"RDS works well, but it has periodic performance issues and needs to be managed in terms of cost."
What do you like best about Amazon Relational Database Service (RDS)?

By managing backups, scalability, and maintenance for different engines like MySQL and PostgreSQL, Amazon RDS streamlines database administration. Via Multi-AZ deployments, it provides high availability, guarantees strong security, and connects easily with AWS services. Scalable and reliable cloud relational databases are ideal for CloudWatch monitoring as it maximizes performance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Amazon Relational Database Service (RDS)?

Due to its complex pricing structure, which includes additional fees for capabilities like data transport and Multi-AZ installations, Amazon RDS can be difficult to use. Although it makes maintenance easier, it could not have the same flexibility as databases that are self-managed. Sometimes users experience delays in feature upgrades or performance problems. For me, "custom group paramaters" and "Performance insights" are one of the best feature in RDS. You can do things on the fly with these features and these eliminates most of the human errors when you do the tasks what these features covers in the past. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Amazon Relational Database Service (RDS)?

What do you like best about Amazon Relational Database Service (RDS)?

The best thing about RDS is it a managed services, It provide MultiAZ feature. Also good security. It supports multiple database engines like PostgreSql, MariaDB, oracle.it is quite easy to use and connect it to my code. I am using only RDS for my applications. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Amazon Relational Database Service (RDS)?

It is expensive, also I feel it gets complicated while movng data from private RDS from one aws account and region to another AWS account and region. Also we need to see if a particular important data has been deleted from my database ,who has deleted that data. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Amazon Relational Database Service (RDS)?

One aspect I dislike about Amazon RDS is that the backup policy and retention period could be more flexible. It would be great to have extended options for retaining backups over longer periods without additional manual configuration. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"RDS is the backbone of your application"
What do you like best about Amazon Relational Database Service (RDS)?

Actually the very best features are the following.

1. Point int time recovery

2. backup strategies including cross region

3. security

4. storage autoscaling

5 . and easy intgration to applications

6. Easy to use etc Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Amazon Relational Database Service (RDS)?

One thing I dislike about the the RDS is most of the time the DB is in private subnet and for samll query runing or tables checking etc I need to connect DB using bastion host and then check.

I think we need a simple UI to check things directly within console for small operations just like we have in serverless. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
