Amazon Neptune provides a fully managed graph database optimized for highly connected datasets. I particularly like support for both Property Graph (Gremlin) and RDF/SPARQL, allowing us to model complex relationships without redesigning application architectures. Performance has been excellent for fraud detection, recommendation engines, knowledge graphs, and dependency analysis where relational databases become inefficient. Automatic backups, Multi-AZ availability, encryption, and managed patching significantly reduce operational effort while providing enterprise-grade reliability.
