Every tenant has their own: - database - filesystem - feature flags activated All from one code base. Deployments can be triggerd manually or automatic, easy to handle. Setup of new client infrastructure can be automated. And is up in minutes to run the same code in a new project. I can focus on developing the application and dont have to be afraid of handling the infrastructure for it. We self hosted lagoon for 1/2 year and switched the to fully managed service by amazee. Their Zero-ops lagoon solution is fantastic to work with, it's incredibly versatile and takes the stress out of infrastructure management. Their support team is highly technically knowledgable, very responsive and friendly Their slack integration makes raising support tickets and working with the team easy. I'd highly recommend them! **What do you dislike about amazee.io?** Typically every hurdle i've had the team have helped me alleviate. Amazee could probably provide some better guidance and support around dependencies/docker images which are used in lagoon which are coming up for EOL + offer guidance/services around migration in these instances. This is something a client should be on top of anyway. Guidance/ability to run lagoon on mac with silicon chips is not the clearest but is a problem common of other solutions. **What problems is amazee.io solving and how is that benefiting you?** Amazee minimises the stress of managing infrastrcuture. With their CI/CD pipleine, CLI and dashboards I'm able to roll out infrastructure with ease. Amazee provides an enterpise level scalable solution which would normally take an internal ops team to manage. For example, they support some of the big names like AWS, but not the little ones like CloudSigma. We would struggle to reproduce the stability and feature-richness of Lagoon if we tackled this directly with Terraform or Helm, especially considering how easy it is to run local development stacks of our production stacks. Many managed hosting solutions have a pricing model which rounds up to a turn-key price, but we feel like we can manage our costs by fine-tuning our application stacks, and invoicing from Amazee is transparent and easy to allocate to different projects. Multiple environment extensions and upgrades where announced timely, planned efficiently and executed on time and without any unexpected suprises. The people at amazee.io know what they are doing! **What do you dislike about amazee.io?** The lean company organisation means people involved in the operations are all around the globe. The primary "SPOC" is writing a Chat message (or support Jira). This caused some headaches to our business initially, as many decision makers weren't familiar with this (and didn't trust, that it'll work when you don't have / known your account manager personally). **Recommendations to others considering amazee.io:** Be aware that developers will get a lot of power - and with power comes responsibility! - at their hands: they will have to get familiar with the components and services involved, and tune the solution and environment configs to work with the CI/CD integration of amazee.io. This is may be related to the case that our organization did not leverage the managed hosting (with nice UI dashboards and click-to-manage environments) - altough amazee.io does offer such. We've been pleasantly surprised by their support and level of detail, and helpfulness. They are friendly and attentive, and their product just works, once you get everything set up correctly. Even though our sites aren't on the highest tier of availability, we haven't had a single minute of downtime in 6 months, which is impressive. **What do you dislike about amazee.io?** If I had to dislike something, I'd be that they are still growing and finding their footing in terms of billing and services offered, so sometimes it's not as straightforward as how much certain things work or how much it'll cost. The prices aren't bad by any measure, though. **Recommendations to others considering amazee.io:** Try them out. They might not be the best solution for everyone, but if you are an agency shopping around where to put some sites, it makes a ton of sense to give them a shot. We are primarily a Drupal / WordPress agency, and their system is set up for both. Their techs are also very knowledgeable on both platforms. **What problems is amazee.io solving and how is that benefiting you?** We had a pretty big and complicated site on Pantheon that suffered all kinds of issues. Most of them were due to the relatively low level of RAM available, even in the highest tiers. Amazee.io was able to solve that and give us a unique solution for the site. In the same vein, we are also hosting a React project with them, something impossible with Pantheon's current infrastructure. ### 21. We looked at all the main Drupal PaaS providers and were most impressed with how well Amazee understood our needs, how easy they are to communicate with, and their simple and transparent pricing structure. We were hand-held throughout the onboarding process and made to feel like Amazee are an extension of our own team. A dedicated Slack channel is used for all communcations, automated deployment messages, and support tickets. As a partner they offer us technical account managers who supports us in all questions, where software development meets hosting. They are flexible and be able to step into even promptly if needed. Amazee allows us to focus on clients needs and on developing software. We have regular meetings with a Customer Success Manager who is interested in our needs and supports us in developing all hosting related business. From a personal perspective I appreciate the open and transparent way of communication. **What do you dislike about amazee.io?** Not a big thing: I am interested to get invoices more early. Sometimes it seems as if they don't need our money and so we sometimes have to pay penalty interests to our bank :-) On the other hand this make me feel that they burn primarily for their service and do not act just for economic reasons. Scaling on Lagoon is easy. I also love that with the recently released "Insights" tools, my customer's docker images are scanned for security vulnerabilities. But best of all...? I love that the project is open source. We can see the code, we get to provide steering and input from the field through the Github issue queues. Its almost like we have our own hosting team! The major benefit from a technical perspective is that Redis, Mariadb, persistent file storage, it all just kinda works.
