It provides me with a very functional kit. **What do you dislike about Altova MissionKit?** The thirty-day trial makes me happy, but I am displeased with the inaccessible price for the common programmer who works alone. **Recommendations to others considering Altova MissionKit:** It is a good tool for the computer scientist who is dedicated to developing application software. **What problems is Altova MissionKit solving and how is that benefiting you?** I solve many problems with this kit that brings all the tools in a single package. The interface is great and very intuitive in everything. But it has problems like any other; technologies advance and this project must advance in the same way. ### 2. Ability to validate a file against schema, running XSLT to manipulate XML files. I like DiffDog compare features and ETL capabilities of MapForce. **What do you dislike about Altova MissionKit?** File compare features can be enhanced. There should be an option to not take into consideration the order of sub elements when comparing two XML files. **What problems is Altova MissionKit solving and how is that benefiting you?** We exchange multiple XML files with different vendors on a daily basis. In Mapforce, for some features you need to use the "Mapforce server" (i.e. https webservices /tokens) **Recommendations to others considering Altova MissionKit:** Altova has no real rivals for a lot of vertical features. Using complex jsons and XML with a visual instrument and compile code without writing a line, is a very nice approach. **What problems is Altova MissionKit solving and how is that benefiting you?** Data mapping, interations, filesystem transformation. The bundle is a mix of useful tools from basic coding (xmlspy and diff dog) to data mapping (mapforce and flextext), to database management (databasespy), to data rendering (stylevision) and u-modeling (umodel) ### 4. I specifically needed the XML editor and this has worked great. It did take a little time and testing to figure out how to do what I needed with the XML editor. It took some trial and error, but I think that is to be expected with a robust software package. **What do you dislike about Altova MissionKit?** The software required a good amount of RAM on your PC. I had a high powered PC and had to request more to be installed. It also slows all the other processed on my PC while I am using it. **Recommendations to others considering Altova MissionKit:** Very robust package with lots of options and added software features for XML. **What problems is Altova MissionKit solving and how is that benefiting you?** I am able to view, edit, search and export very large XML files quite easily with this software. The searching features have been a great use and surprise to me. ### 5. Define, modify, analyse xsd and xml in xmlspy. If you need to do data transformation via xslt or other, mapforce is what you need. Its drag and drop interface makes it easy. **What do you dislike about Altova MissionKit?** I've been usin these tools for over 8 years, with at least one new version a year. Don't see much in terms of changes accross the versions **What problems is Altova MissionKit solving and how is that benefiting you?** I use this mostly for system integration purposes, data transformation between systems. Data exchae between Sap ECC and other platforms, including Siebel and web ordering platform. ### 10.
