Allscripts continues to watch the healthcare arena and updates areas of their software suite as needed. **What do you dislike about Altera Digital Health - Sunrise?** Although the software is intuitive, configuration is not. Several people in an organization must be trained as super users and take the configuration course. Onsite setup, as well as training, is recommended to get off to the right start. **What problems is Altera Digital Health - Sunrise solving and how is that benefiting you?** Working with clinics and hospital systems that had multiple outdated software systems or no EHR at all. This installation would bring everyone together with one system. ### 2. This also introduces a degree of instability with the connection; I've found that sessions will frequently and suddenly terminate, right in the middle of documentation. I'm not sure if this is the program itself, or because it's being done in/through a Virtual Machine, but switching between tasks in the program is very slow and "laggy." **What problems is Altera Digital Health - Sunrise solving and how is that benefiting you?** The typical problems that are mitigated by an EMR; reporting measures, order entry safety checks, medical record organization, etc. ### 3. Allscripts is not playing nice with contract negotiations, so we decided to explore the competitors' software. We may be a small client in terms of revenue to Allscripts, but we are still a client and if that's how they opt to treat us, I don't see many other clients staying on board. Software is all comparable and its the support you get that differentiates one vendor from another. I have never experienced it go down, and it is rarely if ever "slow". **What do you dislike about Altera Digital Health - Sunrise?** I am a student and getting used to Sunrise was very overwhelming for me. If it was more user friendly, I could spend more time learning about my field, rather than learning how to use and navigate Sunrise. There are too many options and too many filters. There is TOO much going on which makes it difficult to navigate. I don't have an answer to the problem, but I wish it was easier to get where you want to be. **Recommendations to others considering Altera Digital Health - Sunrise:** I do not think this product would be best for a small medical practice, but it may be necessary for larger health networks. **What problems is Altera Digital Health - Sunrise solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are able to share and pull up medical records instantly and in real time. There is no upload time, which helps increase productivity levels. Being able to access a large amount of content keeps you up to date with patients. ### 6. The program will indicate if a diagnose code is known to not be acceptable with such a procedure. Reminders for co-pays are also a great feature. ### 14. The top alert bar is helpful in putting an essential information that will never be neglected. It is a good EMR especially if more than one practice uses it and they share the software. In this way you'll be able to have access to information across several fields of expertise. **What do you dislike about Altera Digital Health - Sunrise?** I do miss more large-scale analysis tools in Allscripts. To have the ability to search through multiple charts for a single keyword or certain therapy/procedure it would help research a lot. Ability to pull out data in more concise and structured way will provide a good overview of the practice or group of people.
