They were highly professional and a pleasure to work with throughout the entire process. Their delivery process was transparent and well-structured. Our project was divided into weekly milestones, which allowed us to test the application after each milestone. This helped us to identify and fix any issues incrementally, ensuring that everything was working properly by the end of the project. As part of the project, I requested an integration for one of our core features. However, I later discovered (after AirDev delivered the feature) that the cost of running the integration was simply not sustainable for our business. I raised this concern with the AirDev team, and to my relief, they quickly understood the gravity of the situation. Without hesitation, they proposed multiple solutions to address the issue, which was a testament to their professionalism and expertise. **What do you dislike about AirDev?** No issues whatsoever. I can't think of any improvement. **What problems is AirDev solving and how is that benefiting you?** AirDev developed a SaaS product for us to help schools manage children with allergies and asthma. ### 2. Design systems can help make product development way faster if you stay within the system. AirDev has built out a ton of repeatable systems that helped us ship a clean, modern, viable product (including the subscription and payment mechanisms) fast. Like as in "our first call was on April 4th and we had our first paying customer on the product before the end of the month" fast. We had our product and our first customer by the time most firms could have just spun up their internal project management tools. ### 3. Software is more challenging to build than many understand, but Airdev gets it right by keeping things simple. **Recommendations to others considering AirDev:** 1. Try to build your prototype yourself and gather feedback from your early customer conversations. 2. Map out your entire application flow if possible; software goes smoothest when we know what we want to do. 3. Their simple, well-conceived development process allowed us to develop an application, not just quickly but in an optimized, consistent way. **What do you dislike about AirDev?** Airdev's overall process and its Canvas framework certainly has its advantages, but the downside of the highly structured approach is that it makes testing ideas that are not fully scoped or conceived are little difficult. We missed the ability to throw some ideas around and see what the developer might come up with. The requirement for highly detailed scopes beyond the initial build makes the incremental improvement of our product a little less accessible. **Recommendations to others considering AirDev:** If you have a clear understanding of what you want to develop, no technical background, and your application doesn't require the most intagramable frontend, Airdev is an excellent choice. For every startups you have external constraints that are sometimes hard to plan ahead. They also are larger than most other no-code development agencies. To AirDev's credit, when the project was abandoned, they refunded our initial deposit. **What do you dislike about AirDev?** Working with the AirDev team was extremely difficult. Once we signed our contract with a US-based sales rep, we were given a very junior project manager who had just graduated from a master's program and was located in Europe. This was our only point of contact and unhelpful in problem-solving or doing anything beyond administrative tasks. Ultimately we had to abandon the project because AirDev wouldn't agree to a standard data-sharing agreement with a third party data provider that was integral to the project. It was unclear who was in charge or how to escalate an issue, and no one besides the project manager weighed in on this third-party agreement. **Recommendations to others considering AirDev:** If you have a straightforward project, AirDev can likely complete it quickly. I would clarify up front who the stakeholders within AirDev are that you will be working with. **What problems is AirDev solving and how is that benefiting you?** Ultimately AirDev did not deliver the project, so it was a waste of several months for our team. ### 21. I'm a full stack developer and so have a very high expectation for anyone that helps me with tech. AirDev was extremely efficient, organized, thoughtful, responsive, and a real pleasure to work with. **What do you like best about AirDev?** I'd actually contracted another firm previously to create this dashboard. After 6 months of bad questions and a lack of response, I emailed Vlad at AirDev and told him I wanted to try his agency. It was basically the polar opposite experience (which is probably why I'm so greatful). My app came to life in the first few days, and I had full confidence throughout that it was being built in a scalable way that would save my business time/money. I'd recommend working with them to anyone building tech and will work with them again many times in the future. **What do you dislike about AirDev?** Any tech tool will have bugs, and the dashboard they built for me was no different. It's the nature of software. But, they were super responsive, even working on weekends to resolve bugs. I never felt like I was harassing them despite my anal, type-A personality. They fixed even the smallest UI issues I had with a smile. **Recommendations to others considering AirDev:** I've worked with many third party developers. They are by far the best in terms of speed, responsiveness, skill, price, and experience working with them. **What problems is AirDev solving and how is that benefiting you?** Building tech for my internet business. The app they built saves me around 15 hours/mo. It also increases my revenues by around 20% as I can take on more customers, and make sure they are all billed appropriately. They used an iterative process of building, feedback and revising to get the web application from zero to fully functional and ready to take payments from users. **What do you like best about AirDev?** Andrew and Krystal at AirDev seemed to be on the same wavelength with me as we brainstormed from my original concept all the way to the final product. They not only built the product in a ridiculous fast timeframe, but were able to suggest and implement improvements that I probably would not have considered. They were more than a dev shop, more like a partner. **What do you dislike about AirDev?** Not much to dislike, they were fast and produced a great product. If I had to pick something...it would be that I am on the east coast and they are on the West Coast....so the time zone difference was a little annoying, but nothing that we could not overcome. ### 28. AirDev allowed me to get the prototype up and running quickly - I think it took less than a week. After testing my prototype for a while, I was able to go back to AirDev and make a 2nd set of updates and improvements. **What do you like best about AirDev?** They were very responsive, asked the right questions and were able to help me determine the features I needed and provided ideas on how those features should work. They work very quickly and with high quality. I think the price for the MVP was very reasonable seeing how quick they were to build it and fix the bugs. **What do you dislike about AirDev?** There isn't much that I disliked about working with AirDev. I think the only issue I had was getting notifications from their online project management portal. So I'd have to remember to sign in there regularly to see the updates. If any issues came up with function within 24 hrs the issues was resolved. **What do you dislike about AirDev?** For the money and the time I have NO complaints to what AirDev provided and how they provided it. **Recommendations to others considering AirDev:** If you want to test a product quickly and cheap , AirDev is an awesome service and the service providers were wonderful. Be ready to talk with someone live 1-2 times with exactly what you'd like the goal to be. We chose to build the 5 day sprint and were able to see and adjust within the scope before paying or going live with the website. I am able to contact support and, in most cases, receive same day service. Many companies say they are able to do that but many never follow through.
