Technically, Adminer seems just a PHP script but it encapsulates a fully-functional database administration panel. Even if it's contained in a single page, it can be easily compared to other famous tools like PHPMyAdmin and it wins in many points: smart autocomplete when creating tables, persistent and multiple login sessions, easy export functionalities and a much more concise graphical interface. I like that it's a self-hosted, web-based administration tool for PostgreSQL (and other databases, though I've only used it for PG). Encoding parameters in the URL means you can refresh the page. Some features that seem like they should be obvious are missing. For instance, I cannot TRUNCATE a table through the web interface, nor is there an option for CASCADEing. For these cases, I can write a manual SQL query, but seems like a simple button would suffice. I've also noticed that my search_path isn't set correctly when executing SQL queries. Can't say that I dislike something, but there is a way to improve Adminer. For example, Make custom query to DB and have all usuall ability to check multiple records to modify or delete. Also want the ability to move columns to get a better view of my data. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
