That is not really a criticism of Acho. As a new tool for us, the approach of an initial set-up after the proof of concept and then haivng a week to find and report on all the desired changes did not work well for us. Workflow is easy to understand. I did not spend much time figuring our how to integrate my SQL database with it. The connection was quick as well. Once we have the data on Acho Studio. The SQL actions are pretty easy to use. I'm actually pretty proficient with SQL, but don't mind these no-coding solutions. It definitely saves me some time writing all the queries repetitively. **What do you dislike about Aden?** I think there could be more SQL actions there. Things such as min, max, and counts for statistical discovery. **Recommendations to others considering Aden:** I'd recommend trying it out with a smaller table first. If you want to move away from Excel but find Google Sheets terrible (as we all do), or you have enormous datasets with complex n^2 type queries (e.g. index-matching between two 1mm row sheets), this is the tool for you. **What do you dislike about Aden?** Can be a bit weird handling multiple joins and more complex filters (the and/or logic isn't always intuitive when you want to nest bits of logic inside each other). With Acho, we were able to achieve that goal and then filter, sort and run queries with the click of a button. ### 30. Every action I made including find and replace took just a few seconds, much much faster than I can do with almost any other tool. The no coding environment definitely helped as well, although I can do SQL but in data discovering the simple click and show interface is just so much better. It takes time to google SQL syntax and get the query in the right format so I was very appreciative of the easy UI. **What do you dislike about Aden?** There needs to be more action widgets, would be nice to be able to do joins and other database operations. I emailed the customer service team and was told that's exactly what they are working on for the next release. **Recommendations to others considering Aden:** I think this is a product with a lot of future potential and headed in the right direction. No coding and cloud is the future as these will help non-technical users to quickly join the data work team (without resistance too). Nowadays almost all jobs requires a bit of data work and the datasets are simply getting larger and larger. At the current moment Acho still a bit simplistic, but it is at no cost so can't complain about that. With more actions and integrations added, this can become a treasure chest. I have high expectation for the data mart piece as well, as an Analyst I am often looking for data that may not have immediate ties to our business (labor rates, COVID-19 case maps, population clusters, etc.), it would be fantastic to be able to find them under one roof instead of wild googling. **What problems is Aden solving and how is that benefiting you?** Data discovering and cleaning for myself on large datasets, creating different versions with different process flows. For each base database table I need to create many different processed tables, some are similar in structure just different in filtering/processing. Having too many different views in SQL gets out of hand because I lose track of the operations I did on each one, with Acho I am able to know exactly what I have done with the virtual tracking log. For next step I am looking to do data publishing to my peer colleagues, they can build on top of the processed data I have for them in a self-serve format using Acho so I don't have to take care of their requests individually. ### 34.
