If you need somethign easier to use, lower cost and lighter weight, try Nimonik or Intertek Inform. What problems is Accuris solving and how is that benefiting you? They are now called Accuris Tech (formerly IHS Global) and marged in Techstreet, who both provided acccess to industry standards and publications form nearly all standards publishers. It provided us with information on sales of specific brands/models/pricing, etc., allowing our sales force to speak to automotive advertisers on an equal level. Data was used along with other syndicated data in presentations that detailed and outlined the automotive industry and why advertising with us would be essential to increasing the advertisers' revenue. Data provided allowed us to segment purchase information by region, age, sex, ethnicity, brand, model, import, domestic, passenger car, pickup, van, sports car, sedan, 2-door, 4-door, etc. I especially liked the automotive information that provided the average price spent for various automotive types: cars, trucks, and vans. What do you like best about Accuris? Nothing I could not access data. Requires you to download several programs then adjust browser settings. I followed instructions and still unable to download. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Accuris? Everything. I would not recommend it. For the lay person, accessing this type of data is not intuitive by any means...and I work as an engineer. You would think it would be as simple as hitting the download button but it is not. Thus, I would not recommend this product unless you are a Fortune 500 company with your own IT department.
