What do you like best about ABBYY Intelligent Document Processing?

What I like best about ABBYY Intelligent Document Processing is its accuracy in extracting data from complex and unstructured documents. It handles invoices, forms, and scanned files really well, even when the format varies. The AI based OCR and data recognition significantly reduce manual data entry, which saves a lot of time and effort. I also like how it supports multiple document types and integrates with existing workflows. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ABBYY Intelligent Document Processing?

What I dislike about ABBYY Intelligent Document Processing is that the initial setup and configuration can take time, especially when training models for specific document formats. For new users, the interface and configuration process may feel a bit complex. In some cases, fine tuning is required to achieve the best accuracy for highly customized documents. "Simple, Customizable Modeling—But Stability and LLM Direction Need Work"
What do you like best about ABBYY Intelligent Document Processing?

What I like most is the platform’s simplicity. It lets me quickly build a model to either classify data or extract information. Even though it’s straightforward to use, there are still plenty of options to customize the tasks to fit what I need. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ABBYY Intelligent Document Processing?

There are many small stability issues on the platform, especially in the Advanced Designer. I’d also love to see a clearer vision for how LLMs are meant to be used and implemented Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"ABBYY Intelligent Document Processing: AI-Powered Extraction from Complex Documents"
What do you like best about ABBYY Intelligent Document Processing?

The feature I find most attractive about ABBYY Intelligent Document Processing is its ability to extract valuable information from complex, unstructured documents. It leverages artificial intelligence to automate this process, which improves efficiency and supports better decision-making. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ABBYY Intelligent Document Processing?

Overall, ABBYY Intelligent Document Processing is a solid solution, but it still has some areas it could improve on. The UI/UX can be a bit complicated for new users, and some of the more advanced AI features have a learning curve before teams can fully leverage them.

The platform has a wide range of integrations, but some may require additional technical expertise to set up and customise. From a performance point of view, some complex or inconsistent document formats may require manual tweaks to maintain accuracy.

Pricing: The solution can be a big investment for smaller organisations, making it more difficult to achieve ROI as quickly as the larger enterprises. Lastly, although the support and onboarding resources are generally helpful, some users may prefer more streamlined training materials and quicker resolution times for complex technical issues. "Accurate OCR That Automates Invoice and Form Processing"
What do you like best about ABBYY Intelligent Document Processing?

It is genuinely useful if you deal with a lot of documents that need extracting, classifying or routing. What stood out for me was the OCR accuracy on fairly clean invoices forms and scanned PDFs. Instead of manually processing invoices or forms, you can automate a lot of that repetitive work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ABBYY Intelligent Document Processing?

The biggest downside is implementation complexity. It’s not something you casually set up in an afternoon and immediately get perfect results. There’s a learning curve around templates, document types, extraction rules and integrations. Performance also depends a lot on document quality. Clean digital PDFs work well, but messy scans, skewed images, handwritten notes or inconsistent layouts can still create errors that need manual review. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Precise Data Extraction That Streamlines Workflows and Scales Automation"
What do you like best about ABBYY Intelligent Document Processing?

What I like most about ABBYY Intelligent Document Processing is how precisely it can extract and organize data from many different document types, even when the content is complex or unstructured. This cuts down on manual effort and helps reduce errors, especially for repetitive tasks. I also appreciate that it integrates smoothly into existing workflows, which makes automation feel more practical and easier to scale in real-world projects. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ABBYY Intelligent Document Processing?

What I like least about ABBYY Intelligent Document Processing is that it isn’t always quick or straightforward to implement, especially when you’re working with complex documents. It can take a fair amount of time, along with some technical know-how, to configure the extraction properly and get results that match what you expect.

On top of that, the interface can feel a bit overwhelming at first, and it’s more expensive than simpler tools. It’s definitely a powerful solution, but it isn’t the lightest option or the most beginner-friendly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful document automation with a learning curve"
What do you like best about ABBYY Intelligent Document Processing?

What I like most about ABBYY Intelligent Document Processing is how accurately it extracts and structures data from different types of documents, even when they’re unstructured or complex. It saves a lot of manual effort and reduces errors, especially in repetitive tasks. I also appreciate how easy it is to integrate into workflows, which makes automation more practical and scalable in real projects. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ABBYY Intelligent Document Processing?

What I dislike most about ABBYY Intelligent Document Processing is that it’s not very quick or simple to set up, especially for complex document types. You often need some time and technical effort to fine-tune the extraction and get everything working the way you want.

Also, the interface can feel a bit overwhelming at the beginning, and the pricing is on the higher side compared to simpler tools. It’s definitely powerful, but not the most lightweight or beginner-friendly solution. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Saves Time, Handles Complex Documents Well"
What do you like best about ABBYY Intelligent Document Processing?

I really like how ABBYY Intelligent Document Processing handles documents that aren't clean or standardized. It deals with messy stuff like scanned PDFs and mixed layouts from different vendors, so I spend way less time on manual data entry. It accurately extracts data from invoices and vendor contracts, pulling vendors' names, amounts, dates, and line items straight from scanned PDFs even when the layouts vary. The document handling feature saves me time every week, allowing me to drop a batch of mixed invoices and receipts and get structured data back without needing to sort them first. The table extraction is incredibly useful, especially for pulling line items out of invoices, and it just works well. Also, the connection to our accounting system means the data flows in without manual re-entry, which is a huge plus. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ABBYY Intelligent Document Processing?

Honestly, the setup took longer than I expected. Getting it turned for our specific document type involved more back and forth than the sales pitch suggested. The initial template and first training could be more intuitive. Right now, it takes some trial and error to figure out which settings matter for which document type, and the documentation assumes you already know ABBYY terminology. A guided setup wizard that walks you through a sample document and explains choices would help a lot. Honestly, it wasn't plug and play. The core install was straightforward, but getting to actually work well for our document types, we took a couple of weeks of tuning. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I use ABBYY Intelligent Document Processing for forms structuring and extracting key information, and it is helpful because we have high volumes and want to speed up workflow. It makes me more efficient and helps me waste very little time and resources, allowing me to get more work done in a short time by avoiding manual work that is repetitive and slow. I like how it does a good job with messy documents and organizing inconsistent docs. It cuts so much time and allows me to get more work done. Most importantly, I can fix things quickly and adjust as needed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ABBYY Intelligent Document Processing?

I think the setup can be hard at first. Configuring for complex work can be troublesome. There was a learning curve for sure. Setup was not very easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Streamlines Text Extraction, Steep Learning Curve"
What do you like best about ABBYY Intelligent Document Processing?

I use ABBYY Intelligent Document Processing for scanning documents from image to text, especially with PDF books from which I can't copy the text. It helps me save time in getting information from books, a process that used to take me days. I like how it makes things easy for my processing. I also appreciate the way it processes documents from old books to more modern and easy-to-copy text. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ABBYY Intelligent Document Processing?
